We stayed in an Executive room and Junior suite and both showers did not have enclosures ( very typical of Vietnam) the water sprayed all over the bathroom floor, and is a little inconvenient. Our collegues had the same types of rooms but with shower enclosures, so if its important to you, make note to ask for it.

The Imperial Hotel is in a great location in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The rooms are big and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is buffet and has enough food to satisfy a variety of tastes. However what is great about this hotel is the staff. They go out of their way to make your stay in Hanoi easy. They purchased tickets to the Water puppet show for us, brought birthday cakes for two persons in our group celebrating birthdays while singing Happy Birthday and in general were there to answer any questions about services, restaurants and locations. They arranged taxis from and to the airport for us at good prices. So a special thanks to Grace, Tracy, and Suzanne who made our stay quite memorable. We stayed at the hotel at the beginning and end of trip and when we came back the second time, they made us feel like we had come home!!

The only little thing that could be improved or looked into is the wifi, it dropped out a few times in the evenings.

The Imperial Hotel is located in the heart of the old quarter which makes exploring and staying out late for drinks, shopping, etc., very easy! There’s a market on weekend nights very nearby which is very fun and vibrant. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, and assist with anything needed, such as restaurant suggestions or tours. The amenities are also very clean and the rooms were nice. I really loved the tea served in the lobby, it was delicious!!

This boutique little hotel is situated in a lovely quiet street in the heart of the old quarter of Hanoi. the rooms are very nice with a huge, comfortable bed. the staff were absolutely fantastic- super helpful and friendly and the breakfast was delicious. we also discovered the best massage parlour right next door. they are very popular though so you do need to book. Great place to stay- highly recommend.

The hotel is in excellent location, right in the middle of the old quarter, on a vibrant side street. The hotel staff is brilliant - courteous, knowledgable and very helpful. We had a problem with our luggage at the airport and they contacted the airport and sorted it out for us. Very tasty pho for breakfast. Spacious rooms.

Location was excellent. It’s right down a quiet street in the heart of the action. The hotel itself is nicely appointed. Rooms are small but clean. The bed was very comfortable, not too hard, with great pillows. Bathroom was great, and hot water was very hot and plentiful. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended!!

Balcony looked larger in the pictures. There was not enough space to use it. The bathtub/shower was dated and had no splash guard, meaning water soaked the floor when trying to shower.

We were given a room without a window. Remember to ask when you book to have a room with a window. It was certainly very quiet but for me, unpleasant to relax in.

Staff was exceptional. Breakfast was wonderful. The bed was comfortable; the room big enough for two chairs and a desk. Location is tucked in a small street and within two blocks of Hoan Kiem Lake-a very pleasant place to walk and sit. It is in an area filled with tourists and local hotels.

The location of the hotel is in the heart of Hanoi sightseeing. Near Hoan Kiem Lake, St. Joseph's Cathedral, Hanoi Night Market, Beer Street, restaurants, cafes, various souvenirs, massage shops, etc. are all within a radius of 1 km. The hotel staff were very friendly with bright smiles, and the rooms were clean. Also, the buffet breakfast was very good. Next time I visit Hanoi, I will stay at this hotel again.
