How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room was small and very warm. Could not leave the window open over night as it looked on to a busy main so would have been difficult to sleep through the noise
The hotel is very close to the train station and shops. Lots of places to get food close by.

I would have liked more than 1 pillow (however I’m sure if I had gone to reception I could have got another) in room 112 the bathroom door didn’t close h less you locked it.
The room was spacious and both the room and bathroom were very clean.

I have nothing to complain about and I would recommend it to anyone who needs accommodation in this area.
It was good location for where I needed to be.Stratford centre was close by and Westfield shopping centre. Just a short walk from Stratford station. My single room was really clean and comfortable and I slept very well. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was very pleasantly surprised and at a very reasonable price.

Traffic noise and frontage could be a lot clearer.

Lovely room for the price was excellent some felt a bit uncomfortable on arrival as staff has peivate party for family member at the entrance. Didn't speak to me coming in or going upstairs. I felt that I was staying at a family member house without

No water in room. A couple of bottles would have been appreciated. Bed a little uncomfortable and pillows a little hard for my personal taste. Not a major issue and would not stop me from returning.
Good clean, basic room which had all that was required for our overnight stay. Friendly staff on check in and check out. Small bar area if required. Windows that you could actually open. We didn’t eat breakfast on this occasion as we were invited to family who live very close.

The room was very small. The window would not close allowing traffic noise into the room 24 hours of the day. No mini-fridge. Holes in wall. Torn carpet. There was a bar but no one was ever there. No staff stood behind the bar making it confusing, not knowing if it was in use. So I did not use it.
The bed and doona was comfortable. TV channels were good. The price was reasonable. Tea, coffee and biscuits in room.

Doesn't have a proper restaurant and only offers breakfast. Didn't feel comfortable asking for drinks or coffee as there weren't many staff around. Rooms are OK, just need little repairs like torn wallpaper and bathroom issues, nothing worthy of a complaint however.
Nice little hotel very close to Stratford Station and not badly priced.

The room had blinds that let in a lot of light, needs curtains or full blinds, bring an eye mask! The hotel was on a main road so could hear the traffic and the locals seem to like beeping their horns!
The hotel was only 10 minutes walk from the trube station and has only 5 minutes from haigh street which had pubs, nandos and McDonald’s, overall a good location. Checking in and out was easy and the staff were very friendly. The room was clean and tidy.

The bed is too small to fit two people. It also isn’t long enough if you are a bit tall. The pillow was very thin, so sleeping wasn’t that comfortable. It was also very hot in the room. In the mornings you could smell the breakfast being made which wasn’t really pleasant.
The location of the hotel is perfect. Everything you need is close by (Westfied Mall, supermarket, underground, bus). The room itself had everything you need for a few days away from home (shower, toilet, chair, bed, coat rack).
