Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff, especially Jimmy who was a font of helpful information for first time visitors to Vietnam and the lovely Julie, who's smile and greetings every time we returned made us feel like family.

Excellent Hotel and the staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough. The roof bar and gym are an excellent addition to the hotel and both were used. The hotel organised my overnight train trip from Hanoi to DaNang on departure too and it was an excellent trip.

The hotel is a bit tired and in need of a renovation or refresh. The furniture in the rooms is too big and clutters up the room. The breakfast is limited for vegetarians with very few options (even half the salads had meat in them).

We chose to return to this hotel because of its excellent location. Its in a quiet street right next to the lake - not far from the hustle and bustle, but not in the middle of it. There are some cafes and restaurants in the street, as well as massage places. The hotel is good value. The staff are excellent - friendly and helpful. Our room had a lovely big window looking out to a tree and the street. It is one of the few hotels in this price range to offer a decent coffee at breakfast. Accessibility: only 3 steps to reception. Walk-in showers. But it appears that the rooftop lounge is only accessible by a staircase.

Staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating, an anchor for the hotel. The breakfast buffet was fresh, many choices, and delicious. Location was superb. The beddings were very comfortable. It was our third stay during our time in Vietnam.

The view wasn't to the city, room was smaller and we had to wait for free table for the breakfast - many guests not enough space. Later the situation was better.

Wifi was very flaky; should change the bedding from a doona to thin cotton blanket during Hanoi summers. Warn travellers in advance that on weekend evenings the road is blocked and so luggage arrangements need to be made with the hotel reception.

We spent four nights here and were completely satisfied with everything. Special mention should be made of the kindness and attentiveness of the employees here. Quick check-in and check-out, excellent location, well-equipped room with everything and cleanliness. Ample breakfast, delicious dinner in the restaurant and a great bar on the roof.

Good selection on the buffet for breakfast, also served non-Vietnamese coffee! Liked the Sky Bar and the staff there were very friendly and helpful. Great location in the old town of Hanoi, but be warned, it is in the "walking street" area and so no taxis to the door of the hotel from Friday evening to Monday morning (you have to walk a short distance round the corner to get a taxi) - we did know this beforehand and so not a problem for us.

The location in the old quarter is very convenient. We walked all over the place from here. The staff are friendly and relaxed. The breakfast is very good and has improved from our last stay here 2 yrs ago. We highly recommend this hotel as good value for money

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were wonderful. Our room was quite dark as it was an internal window that backs onto another building but we liked it that way. Our little haven. Room was nice size and air cond worked well. Comfy bed. Roof top bar great as well. Hotel situated in quieter street in great location.
