The coffee machines at breakfast that never worked. If they don't work, just remove them! And being charged $3 for a small bottle of water from the bar, when we are hotel guests.

This was an excellent hotel. After a prolonged stay (6 days/ nights) I could not find fault with this hotel. Beds soft and comfortable.

I can't think of anything.

There is a lovely sitting area at the front of the hotel. You can sit there, make your phone calls, check your messages, and watch the world go by. Lots of activities happening in front of the hotel - vendors setting up shop, folks whizzing by on their motor cycles .....

The noise insulation between the rooms could be better. Perhaps my neighbour was particularly loud, but their phone call was audible through the walls.

Location is great. Most things are walkable from the hotel. The hotel itself is very well presented. The breakfast is good, and they offer tours from their travel desk. I took the Ha Long bay tour, which I was very satisfied with.

The staff were amazing and very helpful we wished we had booked this for our return to Hanoi after a couple of days out of the city as it was so much nicer than our other one! We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lighting in the bathroom needs to be brighter.

Great breakfast. Pretty well kept Old French Hotel in great "quite" location yet near everything. Staff was super nice and accomodating,,,,even surprising me with a birthday cake during breakfast, Loung upstairs is very nice with an open air section where you can see the lake. Love Hanoi!

View from Room and balcony showed buildings nearby with no feel of Hanoi.

Located close to Lake and old quarter. Suite with terrace was a good room. Breakfast was decent.

The spa area could use some improvements. There was no soothing spa music to help relaxing. The receptionist was busy cleaning and making noise while I was having a massage in a room right next door. When other staff came in their loud voices were so disturbing because there is NO soundproofing in the massage rooms. The massage room was open to the reception area 😩 so impossible to really have a quiet experience.

The staff are AMAZINGLY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL IN EVERY WAY. Jimmy, Heidi and Lucy are THE BEST! we stayed a week and every day were treated like respected friends and family. The breakfast selection was wonderful and the rooftop bar was a nice feature at the end of a long day. Will definitely be referring our friends to stay here on future trips!

Very conveniently located at the heart of the city . Very helpful and pleasant staff especially at the reception. Judy and Dominic were very helpful and guided us well . We extended our stay due to the unforeseen storm at Halong Bay and the hotel was very kind to accommodate us for one more day in our already booked itinerary .

In general no issues at all. Our room had no window, we were aware when booking and had no issue with it, but recommend double-checking in case it might be an issue for other travellers.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, quiet, shower worked fine. They have in-house spa and massage options at an acceptable price. Breakfast was ok, hotel is good located in the old quarter and comfortable to walk in the nearby area. They offer reliable transfer service with the airport. Laundry and currency exchange services in the same street. Several ATMs, restaurants and a couple of mini-market in the close area. We had a good time and would most likely repeat if we visit Hanoi again.

The local traffic is Insane! They will mount the pavement take a short cut, they will jump lights and they will not stop for you! Take care or get a local to help you accross the rd!

Based in the centre of town very close to everything. Easy to walk everywhere you need to be, with lots of bars & resturants. Little bits of local history too if you want to do that. The Breakfast in hotels, is something we normally steer well clear of. However they had a good choice of Vietnamese & European Food. Even the coffee was good! However stick to the standard and not the local coffee unless you are a big lover of Coconut ;-)

Don’t expect too much from the fitness center

Location was very central, close to everything we wanted to visit. Lots of nearby spa shops which we made the most of. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of food. Our rooms were spacious, and nice and clean. Jimmy at the reception was very helpful!
