How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We have fantastic stay at this hotel with great location to access every way, very friendly staff, rooms are were spacious and clean, good breakfast. The manager helped us book a 2 day 1 night Sapa tour with a bed at a very good price. Hotels in Sapa have great mountain views. Overall we highly recomended this hotel as it value for money and excellent location.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was wonderful and within easy walking distance of lots of restaurants and sights. Breakfast was good and Jenny was especially helpful..

Stayed here. It was in great location Mananager Jimmi was very friendly and had good information. Probably some of the most friendly staff I met Room was above expectations in the price range. Very clean and comfortable. Jimmi booked a 3 day 2 night Ha Long tour with V'spirit cruise ship which was very impressive, the seafood was very fresh and delicious.Will stay here next time.

I thought this was a wonderful place to stay! Jimmy made everything easy and was very helpf was kind and was very quick to help us! He even gave us his fan to use at night when we were a bit hot in the room! We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend for anyone planning to go to Hanoi! :)

The staff is excellent, thank you Sully! Staff goes out of way to help, and gave great city and food recommendations. The building/facilities are dated and a tad worn but very well-maintained; the room, sheets, etc were clean! (Shower height may be too short for tall guests, fyi.) Generous with complimentary daily water, coffee, and tea. Ideal location within Old Quarter. Really great value.

stayed several hotels at Hanoi in the past, this is one of the best hotel I ever stayed. All the staffs are very friendly and fast response. Plenty of eateries nearby the hotel and all famous cafes are in walking distance.

We had an excellent experience with the staff-Jim and Jenny, who were incredibly helpful and spoke very good English. We were a bit worried about our bus to Ha Giang, but they went above and beyond by booking it for us and arranging for it to pick us up right from our hotel. Everything went smoothly and we arrived at our destination without any issues. The location of the hotel was also perfect, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we were very impressed with the level of service we received and would definitely recommend this hotel to others. &

Located in middle of Old Quarter., this hotel has good value for your money in staying here. It's exceptionally clean and tidy, served by friendly and supportive staff. Our room is quite spacious with all the necessary amenities.

We booked this hotel based on online reviews and it didn't disappoint. Alex, Jim and Sulli were very accomodating with our odd hour check ins and check outs and helped us navigate Hanoi.

This is a boutique hotel. It does it job very well and the room is clean and comfortable. Definitely ang for the buck. Dont expect facilities like pool etc as it is a boutique.

Lovely little hotel close to everything. The staff was extremely helpful with recommendations, laundry, and booking car service to the airport. Breakfast offerings covered both western and local tastes. Definitely recommend.

Jennie and Sulli are just amazing! They will help you to get all the information you need to enjoy your stay in Hanoi. Great value added for this hotel! | stayed in room 501, spacious room with comfortable bed. 2 suggestions: add 2 chairs and a small table in the balcony and replace bathtub with shower so that the bathroom will be more comfortable :)

Convenient location to everywhere to visit and eat. The room is clean and has large windows. Enthusiastic and thoughtful staff invited us to drink water and eat cookies upon check-in. They have a tour desk with many tours and many prices. I booked a tour to Ha Long and Ninh Binh here. They are all great.
