We had an unforgettable week at this establishment. It's been the most beautiful week since we've been in Vietnam. Plenty of activities for both adults and kids. Van took great care of us, offering lots of advice and being very available. The welcome was very warm. The whole team was lovely. We ate well in a peaceful setting. The children loved it and would like to go back. I highly recommend it without hesitation!

The overall experience at Happy Family Guesthouse. They could not do enough for you. From booking and organising tours, to picking you up from the Ferry. They were just beautiful people.

We liked it all.

Lovely homestay, with an amazing view over the river, flowers in the garden, hammocks to lounge in and a pool to cool off. Fantastic food served right on the river, a great boat trip to Ca Bei, bikes to hire and exceptionally friendly staff who looked after us extremely well. Added bonus was the billiards table - a great way to spend an evening after the sun went down.

Room got very hot at night as there was no ac, but that’s part of the mekong delta experience I guess. If you want easy access to a big city or lots of bars and restaurants then maybe look elsewhere, but it was perfect for a quiet escape.

Really beautiful homestay, every meal was eaten right on the river with incredible sunsets. Very friendly staff, delicious food and basic but practical rooms. Surrounding area was quiet but very interesting and beautiful, felt off the beaten track if that’s what you like. Was nice to explore it on the mopeds. Boat tour was also very interesting, and the pool table was a nice bonus. Very good value for money!

We really loved it but be aware it’s quite remote. Ideal if you have a motorbike or car but more difficult if you rely on public transport. They do have motorbikes and bikes to hire and are super helpful in arranging transport. We enjoyed getting the bus from HCM to the guesthouse as advised on booking (they take you right to the guesthouse)

We really enjoyed a few nights here. The guesthouse is located right on the Mekong making it quite special. The staff were super friendly and went out of her way to make us welcome. The food was excellent on site and good value. Our kids loved the pool. A lovely place to get away from the tourist centres!

The bus from Ho Chi Minh takes you right in front of the guesthouse, it takes around 4h. The guesthouse is clean, well equipped and on a beautiful location, right on the river. They cook for you anytime you ask, offer large menu from which are two pages vegetarian. The food is homemade and absolutly delicious. The hostest is super extra nice, helped us book the bus there and back, offered a boat trip which I definitely recommend to take and when I said I am sick, she made me special soup and tea which actualy realy helped.

Such a lovely spot. Awesome effort made with the overall landscaping and pool area. Great onsite restaurant, enjoyed watching the sun set from the deck with a cold Saigon. They run their own tour straight from the hotel, good value for money. My daughter loved the place, felt homely and gentle.

We had a great stay. Everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful. It was amazing to get away from the craziness of the city into such serenity. It is quite remote but the Guesthouse gave us easy instructions for a local bus that was great value and helped organise our return to the city. You get to experience local country life with pretty much no other tourists aside a couple of others at the accomodation. Basic but clean accommodation and you can organise a morning boat trip through the Guesthouse which was fun. Thank you for a great stay. Would recommend.

The guesthouse was wonderful! Green areas everywhere, great view from their platform. Staff was very kind and friendly. They organised a nice tour in Mekong’s river for us.

The river hut has a ceiling fan which we were ok with as it was just one night. Some of the rooms in the main building have air conditioning if you find the heat a bit too much. The taxi which the hotel arranged for us from Saigon station to the accommodation and then back to Ho Chi Minh City was very late both ways which was disappointing.

We were greeted from our taxi by a wonderful member of staff who instantly took my backpack lent me her hat and sat us in the restaurant with a refreshing lemon drink. So friendly and welcoming. We had booked the river hut which I just loved. It has its own decking area overlooking the river. The sunset was so beautiful and it was great just relaxing and watching the boats go by. The complex has a swimming pool and beautiful garden with shady seating areas. The food in the restaurant is really good too.

The 4 hour trip on the boat, but probably the only thing you can do around. The delta is an industrial area, so not really anything to do and see.

Absolutely beautiful property and setting! The photos don’t do it justice! Amazing sunset views from the restaurant/terrace. The lovely staff helped us organise a bus to Ho Chi Minh and it was so so cheap and included pick-up.

The facilities are a bit basic but for me that was perfect. But don't expect a fancy resort.

Relaxing place with incredibly friendly staff. The surroundings are beautiful, very green and tropical. There is not much to do in terms of tourist attractions but it's very relaxing to go around on a scooter or bicycle. Accommodation is great value for money. The kitchen is open all day and the food is delicious.

Ships cruising past while sipping a coconut. In the heat of the day, cool off in a clean, large pool. Watch sun set into the Mekong. This place is not fancy, but it is wonderful. It has a chill vibe, beautiful grounds, and a great staff. The small extra effort to get there is so worth it. The staff coordinated our onward travel - a huge help (thanks Van!).

What a lovely place!! What a gem! I stayed for two nights, and wish I had stayed for a week. This place is «worth the detour» - the terrace and restaurant on the river is absolutely stunning, and the garden is SO beautiful and lush! I booked the little cabin for myself - it is literally ON the river, and you fall asleep to the sound of boats passing by and little waves hitting the shore. Absolutely amazing view of the Mekong river - and what a sunset! Apart from the location and view: Super friendly staff, great pool, good food. I got help with literally everything I needed help with, and felt SO welcome. Met great people as well, which is important for me as a solo traveler.

Van and the happy family staff are amazing. They are so welcoming, and go up and beyond for their guests, I don’t think I’ve ever come across anybody nicer!! The tour was also amazing for such a good price, would recommend taking them up on the offer! We took bikes out as well which I would definitely do, the local people are so friendly, everyone stops to say hello! Made me feel at home away from home! My favourite Homestay in Vietnam, thank you oh so much for having us <3
