Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyI didn't like the bath tab, kind of dangerous for a 69 years old woman like me. In those tropical places a shower is the best
Very nice location away from noise and traffic, free bicycle very handy and knowledgable and available staff.

United KingdomNothing really, apart from one thing. The block we stayed in could be very noisy. It seems that the roof space is not divided, so you can hear people 3 or 4 rooms down. Apart from that, the place is great
The place is rustic, but the rooms and bathrooms are spotless. Everyone was very helpful and friendly . Breakfasts were basic, but filling, variety of noodles dishes, or fried eggs and crusty rolls. The coffee is not free, it's extra, but it's cheap, and delicious. It's out of the way, and quiet, but there is a lovely local restaurant next to the front gate, 7 Steel. The food is increadable, cheap, and two people get enough for 4, I took my extended Vietnamese family, and they loved it.

VietnamSpacious place from room to dinning area, garden/yards, and free areas to walk in between. Wonderful peacefulness and convenience as it is located just few minutes walk from a main (but not so busy) road. I was given a free bike to ride to the centre of the town, about 10 mins away. Didn't want to use a moto-bike for environmental reasons. Staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful. I managed to do both reading and bicycling during my stay, eventually I ended up staying an extra day beyond initial plan.

GermanyHighly recommended!!! The last three days at the hotel were really nice. The hotel staff are so friendly and take care of everything. We were able to borrow a scooter for two days, they organized a cab to the nearest bus station for us and were open to any questions. You also can have lunch and drink some fresh coconut! The price-performance ratio was great!

ItalyDon't know where to start, the staff was completely unhelpful even for very basic things. We literally lost 3 hours after arriving because they didn't help us at all. This went on till we left. In the evening I sent a message to ask till what time was the breakfast, no reply, I had breakfast at 8 because they told me it was untill 9 in person and they reply to me on booking at 9.30 saying it was till 10 lol. Also cherry on top of the cake the embrasing breakfast was not including coffee 😂
The bed was good.

VietnamMy breakfast wasn't included. When I arrived they didn't seem to know how much the breakfast was, it was like they were mentally weighing up whether they should hike the price because I'm white. There was no menu and the only food option was omelette with a baguette and coffee. So I had to eat that 3 days running. No other options and they call themselves a hotel without a menu? My room didn't come with an electric kettle like the booking said. My bath leaked all over the floor and flooded the bathroom. My fridge didn't close, and the light sockets don't work. no cushions on the sun loungers. How is this a hotel? No complimentary tea and coffee in the room, and no glass to go with the bottled water. It's really noisy because it's right next to a sports stadium where people play sports at 5am. The TV -which probably is the thing that gives them 'hotel' status was probably built in 1975 and the picture was so bad it wasn't worth watching. It's like none of them have ever stayed in a hotel before. I would say it's more like a hostel.

United StatesAlthough they advertise a restaurant on site, it was closed and no food was available except ramen soup. A drink was not offered with breakfast... was asked to pay. The other staff member didn't acknowledge our presence at all, although we were the only guests... he wasn't very friendly. The grounds/garden setting is sprawling and could be beautiful, but unfortunately, the grounds was unkempt with random stuff stored everywhere and could use a proper clean up. The location may be fairly close to the center, but has no charm.
The son of the family was extremely helpful, very nice and spoke great English. He was the best part of our stay. Although the a/c was just ok, the room was spacious and clean.
