Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNothing to not like. A good solid 4 star hotel.
Great location and beautiful hotel. Staff were very friendly and spoke English which is not that common in Vietnam. As soon as you stepped outside the door every direction had something to go see and adventure. 10mins from main attractions. Facilities were clean and comfortable.

MalaysiaNothing. It was all great. All 3 nights.
My wife is rather particular with cleanliness at hotels. Le Jardin Hotel Haute Couture passed the test with flying colours. Staff were helpful and friendly, always putting on a sincere smile, especially Tracy at the front counter and the restaurant staff. The breakfast was pretty good and accommodating.

United Arab EmiratesThere was loud music in the night from the bar/club on the top floor. The quality and options of the breakfast could be way better.
The room was spacious, clean and its view was really nice. The staff was always helpful.

SwitzerlandJust a small thing: the gym is ok equiped but the equipment should be cleaned once a day because some guests seemed to sweat a lot.
The Hotel is in a good condition, the rooms are nice and comfortable with everything one needs. Breakfast is served at a rooftop restaurant with a great view and the buffet offers a lot to pick from. We first stayed 3 nights at the "le jardin" and then did a trip to the mountains. We came back to the Hotel afterwards. The main reason wasnt all the great comfort the hotel offers, it was because of the great staff. The help and service they provided was extraordenary. They helped us finding our way around hanoi and one guy even went with us to the station to help book traintickets (in his time off). To mention extra is Tracy from the Reception. She does everything to make the guests feel comfortable, she even helped to book bustickets while she was staying sick at home. She and the other were the main reason we went back to the hotel and stayed for two more nights.

TaiwanI was excited to get into the roof bar at my last night in Hanoi. They rejected me and told me it was full. Thanks for the unforgettable memory.
They were thoughtful. I had an early flight and they prepared a boxed breakfast for me.

United KingdomI haven't got anything negative to say. I'd consider staying here again for sure.
The bed was the comfiest I tried in Vietnam. Great pillows! Didn't mind not having a window as hardly spent any time in the room. The hotel is clean and very smartly appointed. The breakfast in the rooftop restaurant is decent. I didn't have time to try the pool, but it looked fine. The location is good; less hectic than the old quarter, where I also stayed, but with plenty of things to see/eat nearby. Check-in and staff were good. Didn't try evening restaurant or spa.

AustraliaWe had previously been in a Classic Room with a tour group booking and it is not to the same standard. The Classic Rooms are very dark from the dark timber in the room and do not have good lighting. We also found the Wi fi in this room was not great and quite slow and needed to change position in the room to get a better signal.
We stayed in a Chic Wing Double Room which was very comfortable and was well appointed. The hotel is well located on the fringes of the Old Quarter and within easy walking distance of the Old Quarter and all it has to offer. Wi fi in this room was very good

AustraliaNot applicable. Sometimes things just go well. This has been one of these occasions.
After a very long flight that included a stop over, I was delighted to be met by Tracey and Noom of Le Jardin Haute Couture who provided me with a complimentary drink and dessert, along with a package of information concerning my tour with Luxury Escapes, since I had arranged an extra day with pre-accomodation. And things only got better. The staff, whether Tracey, Noom, Sally, Alice or Hon went out of their way to make my short stay both enjoyable and memorable. A must mention is that I was thrilled to learn that the hotel also has a swimming pool, fitness centre and fantastic restaurant. Happy days!!!

United Kingdom- The shower was blocked and even when room service tried to fix it it was still blocked. - The air conditioning takes forever (5+ hours) to get up to the right temperature in the older rooms.
Christian, one of the staff members, was incredibly friendly. In general we felt very well taken care of by all staff members. To give you one example: we had issues with the internet and they opted to install an entirely new router in the room to help us. Now that is service! The hotel itself is modern and clean. In fact, we liked the hotel so much that we stayed here 3 times in 1 month.

AustraliaNothing.
We had a three day stay and we were in a classic room with two comfy twin beds. The room and bathroom were extremely clean. Breakfast buffet selection was great and you could also select from the al-a carte menu. Lunch and dinner in the dining room provided great choices as well two set menus to select from. Yum. The roof top garden was a great place to have a cooling drink with a great view of the West lake and the city. The staff throughout the hotel were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Special mention to Alice, Sally and Emily in reception and waiter Dion. They were a credit to their profession and the hotel.

AustraliaMay be a sun shade over a part of the pool area would have been good. We didnt go to the gym but was an option if you wanted to go. I didnt really have any dislikesr staff.
Loved the the welcome and fabulous service by all staff. The breakfast and dining room had terrific views from the 14th floor . There was also a sun deck which doubled as a night bar in the evening which had just be finished. We stayed 3 nights and didnt bother to venture out to any other eating venues as we found the food great. We had the option to have a swim at the roof top pool but it was too hot.

Absolutely excellent location near the old quarter. Staff go above and beyond to help foreign guests and are so helpful in helping with where to eat and what to do. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Breakfast selection was amazing too. The sky bar on the 12th is just wonderful. A great selection of cocktails and drinks, great vibes and fantastic ambience and decor. Bravo.
