Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaI liked the staff and the restaurant and the wonderful penthouse
I had a wonderful stay at La Siesta for 2 nights. The bed was the most comfortable bed ever. The restaurant serves superb food and the pool and the ground floor is ultra clean and refreshing. A special thanks to the lovely Quynh for making my stay unforgettable and for making the penthouse sweet available to me. The penthouse is worth paying for. It's very luxurious as are the other rooms. Thank you for making my stay in Hanoi wonderful!

Our stay at La Siesta Classic Hotel in Hanoi was truly delightful, offering a blend of convenience, comfort, and hospitality. First and foremost, the hotel's location near the center of the old quarter was a definite highlight. With just a short 7-minute stroll, we found ourselves at the lake, immersing ourselves in the charm of Hanoi's historic district. The breakfast experience was nothing short of perfect. The extensive variety of food offerings catered to every palate, ensuring a satisfying start to each day of our stay. The hotel staff was a shining example of warmth and helpfulness, always greeting us with smiles and going above and beyond to assist with any inquiries or requests. Our room was impeccably clean, providing a refreshing haven after a day of exploration. While the design of the furniture was aesthetically pleasing, we found the storage space slightly limited—a minor inconvenience in an otherwise comfortable environment. Speaking of comfort, the beds were ensuring a restful night's sleep throughout our stay. While the walls were not entirely soundproof, the occasional noise from neighbouring rooms was manageable and did not significantly detract from our overall experience. One area for improvement that we noticed was the lack of gliders on the chairs, which resulted in some noise when moving them. This minor issue, coupled with the audible sound of chairs from adjacent rooms. In conclusion, La Siesta Classic Hotel provided a memorable stay in Hanoi, characterised by its prime location, delectable breakfast spread, impeccable cleanliness and attentive staff. With a few minor adjustments, it has the potential to elevate the guest experience even further.

Excellent property and great customer service, beautiful gem in this area lovely indoor pool and excellent rooftop bar. Lovely restaurant and someday they play music in the restaurant dinner time. Food is lovely and staff is amazing. Richard is an asset he can help you in any situation. We stayed at La Siesta Suite, probably the best suite it’s big and large outdoor sitting area, if you like that kind of facilities you will not be disappointed by booking this suite. Great food prepared by executive chef TUAN LE so tasty & great customer service by the trainee restaurant stewardess she is very good can’t remember the name but I attached the picture, she can be a great asset to the hotel in future and another steward served us with great hospitality unfortunately I can’t remember his name. Anyway thank you La Siesta team.

United StatesThe price for some rooms were expensive so book early especially if you want a room with a window.
This was our favorite hotel over about a month of traveling throughout Vietnam. Lovely modern and unique interior design, incredibly friendly & personable staff, and an awesome breakfast buffet! We booked a room with a window and were surprised instead with an upgraded suite with a balcony overlooking the street (highly recommend!).

United StatesThe hotel is only a few months old and the staff are fantastic and proud of their workplace and eager to please. Really can’t think of anything for this type of hotel in the location. You could spend more more and move outside of Old Quarter if you need a large pool or resort atmosphere but for Old Quarter this one is hard to beat. Spa is excellent and restaurant is great. Morning breakfast is 5 stars.
The location is excellent and walking distance to Old Quarter restaurants and area. It’s just northeast of the lake and in the heart of the Old Quarter ambience. Some visitors might prefer to be more on the west side of the lake so do your research to see what’s best for you.
