Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaThere was a lot of construction noise in the evening and after complaining, we were moved to a better room away from the noise. Kelly and Daniel were very apologetic and made sure that our stay was comfortable and noise free.
The property is hidden away in an alley and close to the shopping district in district 1. It is right opposite the Saigon centre and close to the market. There is a coffee shop, restaurant and lovely jewellery shop in the alley and we went to all of them.

United StatesIt's worth noting that the original description failed to mention a crucial detail - the fact that one must walk through an alley to reach the destination. This can be a cause of great concern for many, as it was for us upon our arrival.
The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond with their service. The breakfast was good and the facilities were clean. It was great value for the price.

SloveniaThe hotel staff is very friendly and helpful and they want to serve the guest in everything. They were very welcoming upon our arrival, we were also given a welcome drink. They gave us a bigger and better room with excellent bed and we had a great night's sleep there. Thank you very much. The hotel is clean and tidy, and the breakfast was good (they had many different tropic fruits and good coffee). Hotel is in an good location in the very center of the city, close to all tourist destinations (close to city hall, to Street food market, to shops...).

Beautiful boutique hotel right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They helped with suggestions for day trips and places to eat. I arrived at 7am and had an early check in, paying 50% of the room rate for the night, perfect with a night flight and a solo traveller. The breakfast each morning was the best, the omelette was cooked to order. Outside the hotel is the best independent coffee shop and separate cafe that did lunch/dinner for 55k vnd. Would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the city!

United StatesOnly things I would mention, that were very small, was the elevator only goes to 5th floor, so one flight to walk up....only an issue w luggage and they would have helped me had I asked, and the AC had to be set right..one night I fell asleep without turning the fan part on and woke up a bit warm, but it cooled off quickly once I noticed.
I arrived and noticed the hotel was down a small lively ally. Annoying for pulling my suitcases but great for seeing some of the hidden life of Saigon. They upgraded me to top floor which was great. I had a huge patio and could see the whole city. and it had a nice breeze in the evening. The staff was very nice and always helpful, They also apologized for a small problem w bathroom door and some near by construction ( which I did not even hear in my room) and paid for my return taxi to airport. Good wifi and nice shower as well as nice location 2 blocks from Ben Thanh market and right near Nuyen hue walking street. Also Saigon centre, a big mall, is right across the street. I would definitely stay here again.

United KingdomOnly down point was that we didn't realise we had to pay for the snacks in our room (we didn't see a price list so we thought it was complementary - unless our jet lagged brains missed it!) so we had a bit of a surprise paying for that when checking out.
Really excellent little hotel tucked away in the centre of district 1, only a 5 minute walk from the Opera House, City Hall and Square. The staff went out of their way to make us feel settled in and gave us a complementary cold drink on arrival (which was appreciated after our long journey!). Very clean and comfortable room that was nice and surprisingly quiet given the location,
