Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe stayed for a second time when we returned from our Halong Bay cruise. The new room was equally well-equipped as the first, and the staff continued to be welcoming and helpful - especially Jenny and Joy! It's worth mentioning that the hotel has excellent tourist information and can help organise taxis and SIM cards at an affordable price too.

Eliana Premio hotel is comfortably situated in the middle of Hanoi’s beating heart. It’s very easy to reach all the iconic places from the hotel and it’s full with great eateries all around. The rooms are great, the service goes well beyond what typically needed. The staff was absolutely exceptional and helped us with everything and anything during our stay and even afterwards. During our Vietnam trip we returned to Eliana 3 times and would definitely return again if we stayed at Hanoi. Thank you Danny, Jollie, Lovy, Leo, Paul and all the team. You are the best!

AlbaniaSince the day we booked, the host was writing to us to arange everything. When we arrived the staff made a very warm welcome and explained everything about Hanoi, where to go, what to visit, where to exchange money with good rate. The room was very clean and quite. The beds are very comfortable. We tried also the breakfast and was good. We went in Halong bay for 2 nights and the staff was very kind to keep our luggage there when we came back. When i come back to Hanoi i will definitely choose again Eliana Hotel.

TaiwanHanoi is extremely hot in the summer. Unfortunately, once you remove the room key card, the air conditioning stops working (so you can't enjoy the coolness as soon as you enter the room 😅) The iron railing on the balcony doesn't visually provide the most comfortable feeling.
Better than expected, the environment is clean and comfortable with modern facilities. The highlight is the staff who are very friendly and professional. They will introduce sightseeing spots and delicious restaurants to you in detail and with warmth. They will also give you a printed paper listing all the Hanoi travel tips and must-try Vietnamese dishes. There is also a free language and cultural exchange program (unfortunately, due to this time's schedule, I didn’t get a chance to participate), which is a very, very good initiative.

United KingdomNothing! However, the hotel did ask for useful feedback, so two very minor things we'd suggest (if we must!): glass bottles in the room could be bigger to help hydrate after a long, hot day in the city, and (only if affordably available) there could be brown/wholemeal bread option at breakfast. But our stay was perfectly lovely regardless!
The staff were extremely kind, hospitable and accommodating, even organizing an excellent last-minute trip to Ninh Binh when we decided to take a break from the city. The hotel is well located to access key attractions and the staff provide a useful summary (and delicious cake) on arrival. Breakfast is generous and varied for both sweet and savoury tastes, and the breakfast staff are welcoming. The bedroom was spacious and well equipped with robes, iron and conditioner for hair (which is very rare!). We stayed before and after a trip to Bai Tu Long bay, and there was the option of leaving luggage at the hotel if we wanted to. We would not hesitate to recommend the hotel, or stay here again ourselves in the future.

AustraliaIt’s all about the helpful and friendly staff members who go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. They also greet you with tea and cake upon arrival. I could store my luggage at reception overnight when I went on a 2-day cruise to Halong Bay. Location is smack dab in the centre of the bustling Old Quarters. Breakfast has good Vietnamese and Western options, and is of very good quality.

United StatesStaff were amazing, friendly with my kids, helped us book 2 wonderful lan ha bay excursions (a 1 day and separately for my parents and kids a 3 day 2night luxury cruise). Aiki who works nights was very thorough checking us in and giving recommendations and Lovy who works during the daytime was as well, just so kind and interesting to talk to and booking us the water puppet show and helping with the excursions. They stored our luggage when we went on a 2 day trek to Sapa. I was nervous because I had seen some reviews that said the hotel was under renovations and rooms were not as expected; but when I sorted the reviews by date I saw that all the reviews in 2024 were excellent. That was our experience there, excellent staff, rooms, location, and price. If you can get one of the few rooms with an external window and balcony, there is no better value to be had in Hanoi.

AustraliaOur room (street side and second floor) was a little noisy, but not too much to be done about that - it is Hanoi after all!
The location, the decor, the amazing breakfast every morning. Loved the super friendly, helpful staff most of all - Joy, Jollie, Danny, Leo, Aiki and Lovy. From their welcome when we arrived to their smiling faces as we walked through the door after exploring Hanoi each day were very welcoming. We were sad to go after just a few days in Hanoi!

Best hotel in Vietnam. After several tours we always came back here because it was so clean. But especially the staff will go out of there way to make your stay memorable. Danny the manager has organized a team who all seem to have fun working together. We got locked out on our balcony and the whole team came to the rescue. We had a good laugh about it, Jenny and Joy could stop making fun of us. Also the breakfast is worth mentioning all organized by Regn Cassie and Leo who gave some good advice every day. A must goto place when visiting Hanoi

Australiacomfortable and clean hotel and room. Great location in Hanoi. Staff very friendly and helpful (although I agree with other reviews saying almost a little too friendly in the sense that it felt a little smothering at times, however this is not a big issue, definitely better to be too nice than not nice). Was great to have netflix on a night where you feel tired/unwell and just feel like a night in!
