Tired and run down in places. Bathrooms very old and the showers don’t work particularly well.

The bathroom could have been redone a bit. Shower in the bathtub was high to climb in. Shower curtain could have been shorter.

It was very central. Staff were most helpful, especially Ni, the lady who organized our excursions. Loved the bunch of beautiful flowers I received for my birthday! Breakfast in the garden was very pleasant!

There was a noticeable decline in maintenance in and around the hotel. It deserves better as it's a grand old hotel that needs looking after.

Have stayed 3 times previously at this hotel. We love the central courtyard area for breakfast and just for hanging out. A beautiful space.

Our first room smelled of cigarette smoke, we were moved to a better room with no fuss.

Great location to base yourself in Hue. Central to everything. Right by the river, join the locals for early morning walks, the market is an easy 5minute walk across the bridge. The rooms are huge - would be great for a family. Worth paying a bit extra for a river view room. The interior is best described as faded glory, the hotel was built in 1901. It could do with upgrading but was absolutely fine and good value for the price. Breakfast in the central garden is nice.

Quite aged, but acceptable. Small bathroom with shower over slightly rusted bathtub. Room walls a bit thin.

Rubbish left under bed from previous guests. We stayed here 5 years ago and although we upgraded our room this time, you can see it needs some TLC.

The quality of the "western dining" either cooked too much, not served hot enough or not enough flavour.

Set along the Perfume River this lovely old style hotel was just so relaxing and close enough to everything by foot, dragon boat or taxi! The rooms were big and lovely corridors that opened to let the breezes in and overlooking the alfresco courtyard. The breakfast was the best we have had in Vietnam full of choices and fresh! A lot of the staff spoke English so it was easy to be understood and feel like a valued customer especially the manage of the tour operator counter.

WiFi connection not real great. Hot water took at least 5 minutes to get. Service at the pool was not good. They had signs up with summer specials of food & drinks but you had to hunt for a server. The hotel did not promote their own events. I.e. royal dinner....

Location, staff were all friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony at our room.

It is an old building, so there was no AC in the hallway during hot April days. In room AC was excellent, though.

Breakfast was very nice with good selections. The garden setting was a huge bonus.

Excellent hotel in Hué. Beautiful big room with a great "historical" feeling. Beautiful building with a big inner courtyard and a large pool. Great - and big - breakfast buffet. Excellent location. A really nice experience to stay there.

Nothing really. one or two double glazed sealed units need replacing ( fogging and obscuring view) otherwise a lovely old hotel.

All aspects of the hotel were excellent. The pool, breakfast and the general ambience. Also the travel desk staff were first class, offering excellent advice.

we had to change rooms because of the noise so obviously no soundproofing as was described. no safety deposit box in the new room and was charged the same amount for a lesser room!

Terribly view from the rooms, antiquated design, cleaning ladies will wake you up at 8am, there was plenty of construction noise going on, the wifi is not very stable and it's pretty expensive overall (laundry price is straight up theft).

Large courtyard to have breakfast, which has plenty to choose from, large room with small balcony, gym and pool on premise, helpful staff.

No handrail on the front entry steps. Shocking for a hotel that caters for many older tourists.
