The hotel is a bit outside of the city center but a shuttle is at our disposal and taxis are affordable.

The team is extremely caring, kind and smiling. This was a real pleasure to stay at Smarana. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was really good. A premium shuttle is available to go to the city center 👌🏻

a hidden jewel of Hanoi, the staff are incredibly well-trained, friendly and attentive 👍 not a second goes by without one of the staff looking after your needs… i was waiting for my Grab driver just 5 minutes away, and Andi and Vincent were there to keep me company with their warm conversations and a glass of water ;) probably the coziest, most intimate venue i’ve ever stayed when it comes to the staff, location, and the 5-star facilities and amenities 🙏🏻

To be honest, I couldn’t think of any.

I am deeply impressed by the overall experience; Be it check-in, breakfast, and room expectations. The staffs at the front desks are all polite, friendly, and welcoming. The staff (who I presumed is the manager) at the 7th Level is extremely attentive and show an extraordinary level of hospitality. He greeted by names, and is very pleasant. I am amazed by all the experiences through my three nights stay. A very much appreciative thank you to the Hotel and staff.

The only thing we though could have been improved upon was the location, having said that it’s a short taxi to the centre of Hanoi, and taxi’s are inexpensive, so it didn’t trouble us too much.

Wow, what can I say, it felt like every little detail was thought of and executed to perfection, from the staff and their extra mile mentality, to the heated toilet seats! Really though, I don’t think they could have done more to make our stay exceptional, I take my hat off to them. In terms of services, I used the spa for a coconut scrub and 90 minute massage, which was fantastic. it’s a little on the pricey side but was worth it I think. The restaurant was impeccable, as was the service, and the food was some of the the nicest we experienced on our trip. Honestly, we felt like royalty. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

We absolutely loved our stay at Smarana. The front desk staff were super helpful, spoke good English and gave us wonderful recommendations. Everywhere we went we were greeted with the same hospitality. You can tell that the staff really try their best to make you feel welcome and ensure that you enjoy your stay in Hanoi. The staff at the restaurant were extremely polite and we felt totally spoilt! The food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the hotel’s soup of the day choices on both days and were so impressed by the presentation of the dishes, service and taste. We really hope to stay here again!!

Customer care service in Smarana is so good, not inferior other 5-star hotels. I'm really impressed by Huyen (CS staff). She is so friendly and hospitable. She supported us a lot, from suggest must-come destination lists in Hanoi also some room services. I and my wife have a memorable vacation.

During my visit, I was blown away by the exquisite artistic details throughout this posh boutique hotel. The rooms are perfectly clean, the service is excellent, the fine dining alacarte is superb, and the atmosphere is relaxing. Though it will be more pricey than other hotels but still well WORTH the cost though!

Attractive rate in a convenient location. Excellent services and amenities. I would suggest it to anyone going on a honeymoon, business trip, or just a romantic weekend getaway. There is one thing that might be done better: the sky bar could open earlier. That hotel was fantastic, and I want to return sometime soon.

Good breakfast options, both eastern and western dishes. Walking distance to many eateries and shops. Not too central to Hanoi, however. Excellent service. Staff were always so courteous. Oh, and of course, the smart toilet seat!

We really appreciate the receptionist's assistance from the very first moment of our trip until the very last. She made all of our reservations for us, including the airport shuttle, the Halong Bay tour, the dinner reservations, and all the information we needed. Both times we ate at Le Carpe, the food was delicious and presented beautifully. The sunsets from Lunaire Sky Bar are spectacular, we also unwind in their spa after a long day and have no complaints. And you absolutely DO NOT MISS the Afternoon Tea sets in their lounge. Definitely suggest!

The hotel has a lovely spa area where you can have a real healing massage. The fragrant was so nice, the oil was good for my skin. The massage lady-Meggie gave us an amazing experience one. Totally relaxing with the Tibetan bells, the sound and vibrations seem relieve my soul, it like all of my worries, stress, tired went away. Moreover, she gave me some tips that I could do it myself. The architecture and setting is impressive, I can enjoy the Vietnamese culture in the olden days through many hanging paintings on the wall. Which is totally Vietnamese, not Chinese, Japan or Western, the part that I have not ever heard or seen before. Now I know one more amazing art call: Hang Trong Folk Painting, I suppose to get one of those in the future and hang it on my house.

Despite being in a peaceful residential area, the superior quality of this establishment makes its location irrelevant. I feel like a member of the royal family, such is the elegance of the decor and the atmosphere. Excellent service, friendly, helpful staff. When we were in a rush to catch our flight, they even offered to help us pack. Strongly suggest!

My first impression is an outstanding building of the stress. Brilliant colors, unique ceiling lights, folk art paintings and all meaningful stories about them. I'm not art lover but I really have an enjoyable time in Smarana, relax and appreciate the Hang Trong art. What a memorable holiday!
