How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The entrance is a bit narrow.

The room is really clean, the space is friendly, close to the natural environment behind, near the mountains and hills in front of the main road, the bus takes you to the door, the breakfast is delicious with fruits, coffee, tea, yogurt. . It feels great to rest and tour around Ha Giang here

Convenient location to continue going around Ha Giang. New motorbike rental. The owner is enthusiastic and friendly and helped us a lot. Nice, clean, comfortable room

The room is clean and airy, convenient for moving, the owner is friendly and enthusiastic, the motorbikes for rent are very new and cheap but very good, helping to buy bus tickets to feel comfortable when staying and renting motorbikes here.

Something about weather
The room was exactly like the photos. The neighborhood was excellent, with plenty restaurants and shops. The staffs were kind, helpful and hospitable, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

The beds were a bit hard, but nothing that would bother us that much.
Great value for the price. We arrived at 4am, but still could check-in into our room, which we really apreciated.

More of a friendly family hotel than a hostel. Has been recently built as very high quality for the price. Broke my shoulder on the way into town and they could not have been more kind and helpful.

-the pillows were hard and big -the bed was hard
-Thien, the owner is an amazing person, he really did everything to make sure we have everything we need (3am check.in, morming breakfast, went with me to put petrol in the motorbike and half way trough we were out of petrol, so he walked with me and the motorbike to the gas station to help me, he was also renting motorbikes, but I didn't t know and booled from another place, he gave advice regarding the route, stored our luggage for the days we went to do the loop) -basic good breakfast (great value for the money) --we could have a shower after the loop and before the nightbus for a very reasonable price -bus station for the night bus rhat pucked us up was in front of the hostel -very clean inside, everybody needs to leave the shoes at the entrance of the hostel -good AC Recommend the place. Great value for the money and it is very fair to give 10 out of 10 for a hostel at that rate. They do everything for the customers.

The vegetarian breakfast option could be improved.

I spent one night here to recover after I did the four day loop tour. Everyone here was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and had some amenities like toothbrush, soap, etc. They had free water as well. Shower was warm. Free breakfast and they happily accommodated my vegetarian diet. Great value overall!
