“Exceptionally nice and clean room overlooking Dong Van. Within walking distance to the main square. Curtain Call at 10pm much appreciated. Dinner and breakfast were very good. Staff was very friendly and possessed very good English skills. Would always book here again if we got the chance.”
“Stopped by for a quick shower after finishing the Ha Giang Loop. The host and his daughter were super friendly and very available. Did not spend the night there, but bunk beds appeared to be very clean and comfortable. Facilities very clean in general. Left a really positive impression on us.”
“Our room had the most amazing Mountain Views. It was beautifully peaceful and a wonderful place to stay after our first night of driving the Ha Giang loop. The evening meal was excellent and a huge amount of food! Breakfast was delicious pancakes. Would highly recommend this place.”
“We booked the Ha Giang loop through the hostel. It was absolutely fantastic. The group only had 4 people, 3 self driving and one on the back. We had 2 staff with us the whole time, making sure we were safe and having a good time. One of the guides ( Loc ) spoke fantastic English and was an amazing guide. We frequently stopped to take photos, and his humour throughout was brilliant. The other tour guide didn't speak as much English, but was incredibly kind and caring - including inviting us out to Karaoke with some of the locals. The 2 hosts really made the already unforgettable experience, into a once in a lifetime adventure.”
“Bong Hostel was AMAZING!! Booked the Ha Giang loop with them, the bike was comfortable and the driver was super nice, however I got injured within the first hour (no one‘s fault, especially not the driver‘s!) and so I had to go back to the hospital and recover for a few days at the hostel. The owner, all the staff and volunteers were so incredibly nice, attentive and helpful regarding everything and the atmosphere was just great. They organised my bus to Hanoi, checked up on me every day and really made me feel part of the family.
The free breakfast at the hostel is great, it includes coffee/ tea, loads of fresh fruit and a pancake/ waffle/ baguette with eggs.
The facilities were cleaned every single day.
The beds were comfortable, had curtains, a socket, a light and real bedding!
The children running around were so cute as well, giving the whole place a homely atmosphere.”
“The staff was super nice. We arrived very late with the bus and had to wake up the receptionist. He did the check in smoothly so we could go to the room.”
“Lovely staff, they were so helpful and sorted us out with delicious evening meal even though we arrived late. The location is so beautiful and peaceful. Great breakfast with home made pancakes.”
