Lunch and dinner was very overpriced and average. Unfortunately we needed help for medical reasons during the trip and it took speaking to 3 staff members to be able to get any sort of help of where to go or who we could call My partner also cut his leg very badly on a glass table by the pool as we were leaving, glass was poking out of the edge of a table. We asked for a bandaid from the first aid kit and they said no one had access to the first aid kit at that time so were unable to help us.

There is a lot of maintenance to be caught up on, but I’m sure the new owners will get it back to top notch in time. It must be hard to be constantly recovering from cyclones. The staff seemed to a little overwhelmed at times as things kept getting forgotten (our eggs at breaky/lunch at the pool) or took a very long time to get to us.

The location is amazing and the fares are very cool. Breakfast was great. Air con was very much appreciated. Having the boat running at any time of day or night was so handy, and made it very easy to nip across to get a meal. Everything you needed on the other side was within easy walking distance.

The resort needs a little refresh and some TLC to compete with other top quality resorts. The bathroom in our room needed a more thorough clean.

Location, staff, food, pools and facilities including snorkelling at the island were all great. Room had good air-conditioning and was comfortable.

The room was comfortable, but in need of a refresh, particularly the bathroom. Everything worked, and post travel restrictions and twin cyclones, some wear and tear is to be expected.

Great staff who took the time to chat and give great local information. Amazing views from our room. We loved watching everyone go past in banana boats to get to school/town Entertainment every night.

Room was not as we expected or what we booked. We did not get laundry facilities and a cupboard door was half falling off. Resort need alot of work. Very run down and tired looking. New owners are working on getting this place looking great again

Breakfast was nice. No complaints Staff are amazing. Room was cleaned daily. Keep in mind the restaurant is far from the pool view and beach view rooms. Overall we enjoyed our stay and look forward to this resort getting back on its feet.

We booked the overwater hut and or paid and booked months in advance and got there to find they had over booked and tried to out us in a garden view room without saying anything. We were moved to a water front and once I email them for a overwater for the last night only. Concidering most people not pay within the week before or at the hotel on arrival I was very disappointed

The views were amazing and staff were all amazing and helped organise a surprise breakfast for my partner which included a cake and candle as a surprise to me and also some traditional happy birthday singing form the staff

Frustration with resort bookings, as they were very willing to assist, but then rarely followed through on the end result.

Meals were all very good. Room and bed were excellent. Staff were generally very helpful with a wonderful demeanour.

Breakfasts were average with limited choice of cereals and juices. Could have featured much more fresh fruit. The resort is somewhat dated and has obviously seen better times as well as still recovering from cyclone damage. Disappointing to see rubbish below the dining room deck area and the pool deck area. The Sunset pool was showing signs of wear and tear. Some of the advertised afternoon activities such as the crab race, historical talk and trivial pursuit did not take place. The board games cupboard could do with a refresh. For people with limited mobility, getting on and off the ferry-boat was challenging. There really needs to be ramps and railings on both sides of the water. The concrete staircase from reception to the fares is particularly dangerous without handrails. Similarly the descent to snorkeler’s cove would be easier with handrails. We had no luck in getting the TV to work and WiFi was patchy during peak times such as early evening.

The most exceptional feature was the positive and helpful attitudes of all the staff we met such as Moana, Lavinia, Jackie, Aaron and the ferry-boat personnel. The frequency of the ferry-boat service was a real plus. This is a good resort for a low-key, laid-back holiday for families with children and is relatively safe with plenty of things to keep kids occupied. Top marks for central location and ready access to the town and transport.

We had trouble with the wifi the whole length of our stay. The staff were very helpful but the wifi constantly logged us out or wouldn’t function.

The restaurant Little Italy is a lovely spot but incredibly noisy as it's all hard surfaces. The addition of washable rugs on the tiled floor and some island wall hanging would make this an excellent venue for four or more people. At times the main meals could be hit-and-miss in the Azure restaurant. The wine list was as dull as. Considering there is a French and Australian connection, I did feel more effort could have done into choosing the wines.

The breakfast was sensational and high quality. Fresh omelette made to order. Buffet hot and regularly monitored. The pastries were delicious. The rooms were large, comfortable and the balcony a perfect size to rest read a book and take in the ocean view. The staff are friendly and helpful.
