Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe location was outstanding with the most amazing snorkeling right on the premises. It was like being on your own little island, so tranquil and relaxing. There was an abundance of recreational equipment available for use including snorkel equipment, bikes, kayaks. The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was fabulous and happy hour always looked forward to. Feeding the fish after a delicious breakfast every morning was something we all looked forward to.

AustraliaThe internet is very poor. I did not mind for the most part but I had one day I absolutely had to work and it was nearly impossible.
The villa was beautifully appointed with everything that you need and all the right little extras. The access to fabulous snorkeling right off the jetty was a highlight.

Marc, Constance and Staff at Paradise Cove Resort were one of the best people I have interacted with while staying at a private property/hotel. They all were quite proactive and certainly made our stay a memorable experience.

AustraliaThe snorkeling was amazing one of the best in the world. Visibility was fantastic and the abundance of fish or every type was a thrill. We saw spotted eagle ray, moray eels, lobster, clown fish, Maori wrasse, etc. Dinner on the pier and Fish feeding were highlights. Constance and Marc are excellent hosts and take a lot of pride in this well set up and well run resort. Villas are well designed and comfortable.

AustraliaIt’s hard to know where and how to begin to explain the sheer beauty, magnificence, and peacefulness of Paradise Cove Resort, Vanuatu. Is it the location, with its pristine and untouched beauty? Is it the incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive staff? Or, the dedication given to this small piece of heaven by hands-on owners, Constance and Marc? The answer is, you have to see it and feel it to believe it! On arrival, you are greeted with a pristine coral reef that would have the most passionate of snorkels and scuba divers gasping in awe. Your well-appointed and super-clean villa is literally metres from the most beautiful corals, abundance of tropical fish, and the clearest of South Pacific Ocean water. The other feature that Paradise Cove Resort boasts is a complete lack of any motor noise. Not a boat, not a jet-ski, not a car, nor a motorbike. Just the wind, the waves, the birds, and the rustling of the coconut trees. Nature at her finest, elevated through utmost appreciation of her innate powers by her custodians, Constance, Marc, and the beautiful staff. The food, overall, was healthy, hygienic, and delicious. The French and impeccably trained staff understand the importance of hygiene, taste, and nutritional food groups. Adieu et au revoir, and thank you tumas! James and Wendy (Mum) PS// Special thanks to Marc's leadership and calmness through the double cyclones "Judy" and "Kevin". We felt safe and secure under his and the staff's professional care and calm stewardship.

AustraliaWe really enjoyed our stay at Paradise Cove. The location was perfect, quiet and pretty, with a beautifully kept garden and a great view over the bay. The facilities were good, with a traditionally roofed central dining/lounge area and spacious rooms that were comfortable and well equipped. The owners and staff were friendly and welcoming at all times. All our meals were delicious and happy hour was happy indeed with fab cocktails. Bicycles, kayaks and snorkeling gear were also available to use and the swimming pool was great for a refreshing dip. We will definitely return and highly recommend a stay here.

AustraliaEverything was perfect!
This resort was one of the best places I have ever had the pleasure of staying! Constance and Marc are such kind and welcoming people, greeting us personally and helping with transfers and tours. The villas are very comfortable (with aircon in the bedroom!) and so close to a private beach, with equipment for snorkelling, kayaking and SUP boarding. The on-site restaurant uses local produce, with a mixture of local food and some French classics. And I won’t forget to mention everything tasted amazing! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - travelling in shoulder/low season it felt like we were the only guests at the resort. Needless to say we will be coming back here again!
