There is nothing that we did not like. We are all planning to visit the place again.

I like everything. The location so peacefully. The entire place, the activities. The place is super clean. The staff were friendly, proffessional and welcoming . The restaurant food was good. Once again compliments to the chef. We had dinner at Begville Restaurant if not Bergview.

Just a few issues in the unit, we had three leaks in the roof, two in the lounge and one in the bedroom. The kitchen could also do with a chopping board and non stick frying pans.

The setting is incredible, so much for children to do and do many beautiful walks. The views are stunning, the staff are so friendly and all the attractions looked great (although the weather stopped us using them)

In our unit No. 124 the double bed was very uncomfortable, the pillows were also either too soft, too hard or lumpy. The bath towels were small especially when your adult boys are over 6ft, though they were plentiful. Also during load shedding the generator goes on at night and is very noisy in the main bedroom.

The location of the Drakensberg Gardens resort and particularly Fairways is absolutely fabulous, there is something for everyone; hiking, biking, golf, fishing, many kiddies fun areas, teenage places to escape and still be safe, with attentive staff all over. The unit 124 at Fairways has everything you need for a family / friend group stay. Having a washing machine and tumble drier makes longer stays very easy.

Nothing, we honestly have no compalints. I would however just like to make the owners aware that there is an unpleasant odour in the loft room. Not sure why, maybe it just needs a good clean of the carpets etc.

The chalet was quite basic for the amount you pay. Perhaps you are paying more for the resort than the actual chalet. The bedroom curtains are almost see-through and let in all the light so you can't sleep in. We brought our kids block-out material but it was a mission to put up on all the bedroom windows. We would have loved a fan in the room too. It got quite hot in the middle of the night. There are no fans or aircons. The ensuite bathroom and bedroom are not completely separate so once our daughter was asleep in our room, we couldn't shower or use our bathroom or it would wake her. Perhaps more windows could have the bars for baboons so we can open more windows.

My 2 year old son absolutely loved it! There is so much for kids of all ages to do so they really never get bored :) It's so nice to be outdoors in such beautiful surroundings all the time. We walked everywhere and the grounds and mountain views are stunning. It was great to have the unit so close to the kids play area and the pool. We enjoyed the fire place in the evenings and the jacuzzis on the cooler rainy days we had. It was great to have such a well stocked convenience store just down the road. My son loved the water slides, heated pool, putt-putt and all the lovely playgrounds. I went on an awesome experienced horse ride which I thoroughly enjoyed.

The chalet had everything one could wish for away from home. The location, amenities and view were excellent.

There was only 1 heater in winter. People from warm areas like Durban find the cold unbearable and we should have at least 2 heaters in winter. Woman might not find it easy to lite a fire every night and once the fire is out the chalet is extremely cold. Next time i will bring my own heater which might be dangerous, less risk if if the an oil heater is provided. I will not visit if I am not allowed to bring extra heater. I asked for an extra heater and was denied.

Everything was good lots of food options, entertainment for all ages with the adventure park (rope course and zipline) we were not bored

The only thing I missed was not having a folding chair to take outside and sit in the sun. I can no longer go on walks so while the others went I wanted to sit in the sun.

The setting of the whole Hotel complex is lovely, located in the bowl of the mountains, with easy, short walks nearby and more strenuous ones into the mountains easily accessible. Since I was last there it has expanded a lot with numerous play areas for young and older people. There is plenty to do and so much choice. My husband and I had out Honeymoon here in June 1964 and have been back many times over the years.

Weather was poor so as a result we ate at the restaurants. the menus were very basic and became boring at the end of our stay. The coffee shop in the hotel was not very inviting - staff could be friendlier.

Beautiful setting. Enjoyed the walks and breakfast at the golf club house.
