Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

South AfricaThe pictures are slightly misleading as we assumed that we would have a beach view but that was not the case. Also, even though the estate has access to a beautiful beach we were told at the welcome centre that we are not allowed to swim there because of the dangerous currents. Lastly, we assumed that the chalets have wifi but none was available.
Zimbali is an exquisite estate with great amenities on your doorstep. We liked the layout of the chalet and the rooms were spacious and well equipped. Gugu, the housekeeper was excellent and is highly recommended. The host also communicates punctually. I recommend the golf cart as it is wonderful navigating the estate with it. Finally, the aircon in most rooms was a welcome reprieve from Durban's humidity.

Gold carts, the restaurants where the kids enjoyed themselves and the drinks affordable. The host was attentive and easily accessible.

South AfricaThis was our first stay at Zimbali and we expected open areas of lawn close to the property as shown on the photos. This was not the case and we had to drive where we wanted to be. It was also disappointing that each chalet had a golf cart and we were told that the golf cart was out of order, just to find it parked in the garage and in working order. There was left over food in the oven and the the towels was in bad condition. We could also not watch TV as there was a faulty connection, but the host refunded us.
The weather was amazing coming from the Gauteng. There is also a lot to do at Zimbali with the family.

The place is beautiful,the house was clean,spacious and welcoming,even in times of loadshedding there were plugs that were on standby to keep us entertained,like the tv continued to be on

South Africamould on ceiling in bathroom downstairs. washing machine leaks seems to have a water problem. we sometimes didn’t have cold water. better guidelines need to be given about Zimbali . can only access the estate from the west gate and exit from north or west gate which was a mission initially. directions given from ZEMA office wasn’t very clear to find the unit.
