My stay was too short.

The size of the self-catering room. The generous (make-it-youself) breakfast. The backup during loadshedding, the large comfy bed. The cleanliness. And Sharon! What an absolute star, who was super helpful, friendly. and a pleasure to deal with.

No security gates on the door into the garden, felt a bit unusual for Johannesburg, but electric fence around the property, so felt safe.

Surprising peaceful garden and quite place within quick access to main roads. Very friendly staff and well equipt unit. Ideal for business travel or a quick family visit.

Parking was awkward. Better lighting needed at night along the unfamiliar side path to the rooms.

It's not really within walking distance of food or things to see. Nearest food was a 15-20 min walk away. But you can order in pretty easy or take an Uber out.

The staff were so welcoming, friendly and very helpful. They made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The room I got was amazing. What a nice view into the yard. It really didn't feel like I was in the city. Being able to open the patio doors and sit there listening to the water fountain and birds was so relaxing. Awesome place. Highly recommend.

The white curtains which allow the sun through and makes the room very light very early.

It’s like home from home with everything one could want. Spacious room with large comfortable bed and nice lounge area as well as a patio overlooking the pretty garden in a lovely quiet neighborhood.

Lovely rooms and garden, privacy, great location, safe parking. 49-on-Cherry is highly recommended! Continental breakfast is served in the room ready for whenever required. The staff was amazing. We would like to make a special mention of Caruso, he is an outstanding host who helped us with all our problems and did everything to make our stay comfortable, far beyond the norm. I loved everything.

Travelling a lot, one develops a list of what would make a guesthouse perfect. 49-on-Cherry ticked all the boxes. Lovely facilities and garden, delicious breakfast ready for whenever required, privacy, great location, safe parking and a super friendly welcome from Caruso. 49-on-Cherry is highly recommended!

The walls in the appartment are thin so it was a bit loud. But we will come again !

Everything was very personal and Lynne and Caruso are very special people who let is feeel very welcome at their place. Breakfast was already at the appartment so we could freely choose what time we like to have it. The day in Soweto with Chico was a life experience for us. Thank you so much for organizing. Early in the morning only 35 Minutes by car to the airport
