Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Everything! Michelle and her team looked after us so well. The room had everything we needed and the bed was extremely comfortable. We relaxed by the pool after a hectic trip to Zimbabwe and it was the perfect spot to recharge before travelling back home to the UK. We didn't leave until 2pm but Michelle was in no rush to get us out of the room. We will return!

The property is a haven of tranquility in a city. Very safe and secure. The bedroom furnishings and both of the two lounges are very luxurious and understated. In the bed room we experienced the best coffee in South Africa compliments of the hosts.

The property and grounds are fabulous and, during our visit, the house was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were friendly, helpful and discreet. My goodness this place is INCREDIBLE. It's a 40 room mansion that now has 10 guest bedrooms. I did have the best suite but it was really pretty cheap to be honest, and absolutely enormous. Every single thing was delightful and perfect. All the furnishings, the bar, the lounge, the bathroom (has a spa bath), towels, bed (so cosy, loved it) were outstanding. There were luxury touches everywhere that I had never seen in accomodation before, flowers, a wonderful (small) gym, the pool and garden are ridiculously beautiful. The wifi was great, the staff were so helpful and not intrusive. You get to order whatever you want for breakfast, and I'm sure the dinner would also be wonderful (although I went out to Fishmongers for dinner and that was sublime). The owner was always available and super fun and friendly and accomodating, and just so genuine. She helped me with buying shoes, finding a good barber, booking dinner.
