Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South AfricaThe owner can ensure to maintain the dishes in the property by replacing whatever is missing or broken. There were mismatched dishes, which seemed very random.
The location is ideal for any traveller. The property was clean, there is room service to clean the room as well. The WiFi worked well as I needed it for work. The restaurant upstairs has amazing views!

South AfricaCutlery wasn’t clean had to rewash them, please improve on that. Toilet basin pipe was leaking when using the basin, please fix it and add something to place soap/shower gel inside the shower.
Space, comfort, atmosphere and safety. I highly highly recommend this place and would definitely rebook here. I also loved how close facilities are, it’s just a walking distance.

South AfricaThe unit advertises an aircon, which it doesn't have. We stayed during a heat wave and arrived in 38degrees. The unit has an air cooler, which is a fan with a bucket you fill with water. It's not an aircon. It was worthless during such heat. Even though we slept with open sliding doors, sleeping was hard in such heat. If we knew there wasn't an aircon, we wouldn't have booked the unit.
The unit is large, has a great balcony, stunning view at night, luxuriously fitted. Excellent location. The unit smelled divine.

South AfricaSome of the cutlery is really minimal, only 1 dinner knife, no cutting knife and no corkscrew. If you like to cook for yourself (not just warm up ready-meals) it's a bit limited. I feel it could get really hot in summer due to no windows (only sliding doors onto a secure balcony) and no aircon.
The location is superb!!! It is walking distance to the Gautrain Bus stop, and Menlyn Maine Centre which has multiple restaurants, grocery stores, and a pharmacy, and no loadshedding is a huge bonus! Very quiet, the security is excellent, it was spotless and smelt lovely (it was also serviced daily, which was unexpected). It has a lovely large shower and fantastic water pressure. Complimentary tea, coffee & creamer.
