Only sad about the stay is would like to be on the beach, but still walking distance

Everything was absolute awesome. From the start, the welcome package with a lot of snacks, cool drinks, milk, coffee even spices. Marinda the owner was very friendly and kept you up to date with everything. Thank you so much Marinda. I would really recommend this place and definitely come back

Upon arrival we had a basket full of goodies and a sweet welcome note. The apartment pictures honestly don't do it justice, such an amazing place that is so clean. Rooms were spacious and stunning and we had such a beautiful ocean view from the living room Marinda had quick responses when I'd text her and ensured our stay was fantastic. Highly recommend this beautiful place!!!

Apparently a towel was lost during our stay which we were made to pay for, it would have been nice to be notified to count them when we moved in, we are not even sure if it disappeared during our stay. I felt charged & convicted for theft.

There is honestly nothing I did not like about our stay. Even when our visitors turned up unannounced, they were made to feel welcome!

Marinda and Petrus are incredibly wonderful hosts! My family and I were so well looked after during our entire 2 week stay, so much attention to detail, all the little touches were super appreciated! I cannot recommend their apartment more, it felt like a home away from home! The apartment itself is very clean and well maintained, secure and close to everything you need while you’re in the area. Parking was right outside, I could see the car from the kitchen / bedroom window. The housekeeper, Precious who was also very lovely, came by 3 times a week. Communication was excellent, up to date with load shedding schedules and comfortable with wifi and tv and lights in all the rooms when there wasn’t any power so we hardly even noticed. Marinda and Petrus are so kind, you 100% won’t make a mistake booking with them! I know for sure I will be staying here the next time I’m in Durban

Even after 3 weeks of stay cannot say anything negative, however some things might be good to be aware of, did not bother us at all, but some might, During our stay there was no dishwasher in place, we hand washed, there is good space for drying the dishes and no problem with hot water so it worked well. Got information from Marinda (the owner) that there are plans to update the kitchen future on with a dishwasher. And the maid comes 3 times a week too. So all is very well services and cleaned. there are two bathrooms with toilet, but one shower, the other have a tub without shower. We shared the shower but if not comfortable sharing a shower, might be a problem. And the bathroom with the shower is accessed from the main bedroom. The toilet/tub is accessed from a small hall just outside the second bedroom. Very easy access and worked well for us during the stay. The kitchen have a breakfast bar setup not a regular kitchen table. As we were 3 adults, not a problem with space and all for us, the chairs are high enough and adjustable in height. Not related to the apartment but the general information about the infrastructure in town, there were a couple of times that we had water outage, my wife and mother in law are from Durban and said it is not uncommon due to load shedding and then sometimes there are issues with the water pumps and we had some hours without water. It is good to have some water stored to be able to flush since the toilets run out of water after some flushes. But in all we had an awesome stay and I can say it is a lovely apartment and a really nice complex to stay at.

It is a lovely apartment, good space, plenty of storage in the bedrooms for clothes etc. Very good beds too. And the kitchen has good appliances and all needed to cook in form of pots and pans, cutlery, glasses and all. Well sized fridge, we did weekly buys and it fitted in the fridge/freezer. Well prepared for load shedding as well, gas stove, kettle for the stove, chargeable lights, inverter for the Internet, TV and possibility to hook up the computer to the inverter too. The washing machine was working very well too and there is a clothes horse to dry clothes on. All is very new. The apartment is really set up as a home, even got gas bbq and a brai too. Very nice seating area outside the apartment too, awesome to sit in. There is also a desk in the living room if one wants to setup a laptop and work. The Internet was very stable and worked well even during load shedding. The service is awesome, more like a hotel than a self catering apartment. Cleaning, and all was excellent. Parking was just outside the door. And the area was quiet and secure. We were a bit hesitant at first before booking due to it was new to booking.com. But everything was super. Easy to communicate with the owners, and they answered the questions quickly and provided good help in all things we asked and accurate information too. The apartment was as seen in the pictures and Marinda and Petrus are really nice people to talk to, helpful and all. We were three adults and we stayed for almost 3 weeks, and we liked it very much. The location is superb as well, it just takes a few minutes to drive to the beach walk and the lighthouse, the Oceans mall is not the best mall, I prefer Gateway but for quick shopping it works and the drive to Gateway is only 7-10 minutes. Otherwise is quick to get onto the freeway and access other parts of Durban as well. Can also get delivery to the gate from uber eats etc.

I loved everything!Immediately when we opened the door were all like "wow!Everything about the rooms was luxurious. Great value for money.The owners updated us about loadshedding and also wanted to know if we were ohk.Their communication was 100%.I will really recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Umhlanga.Exceptional.I give it 10/10.Thank you Petrus and Marinda.I wish other property owners can learn few things from you guyz.I am definitely coming back.My kids so loved your place.Neatness out of this world.Keep it up guyz.
