Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

South AfricaThe price of the accommodation was not equivalent to the experience. While the room was comfortable, neat and was cleaned daily, there were some things that weren't ideal, like a broken cupboard door, incomplete cutlery (e.g. only knives and 2 spoons), our room wasn't ready for another hour from our designated check-in time, and our clearance to enter the building was revoked a day before our check-out, which meant that we had to wait for security to be helped into the building each time we needed to come back to our room. Our pillowcases smelled like they weren't dried properly and were still damp, so I ended up buying washing pods to rewash the linen before we could sleep. Wouldn't recommend staying at a place like the Pearls over busy periods. We would have been more comfortable and paid an equivalent price to stay in a nice hotel.
I liked how central the venue was to everything, especially the promenade and lovely restaurants. It was also convenient to have a shopping centre on the first floor of the building.

Apparently it was never in property as it’s taken away . Asked for wifi network, password. Got it midnight. No use as the device was not in property. The windows were dirt , 1 sheet was dirt , curtains not properly installed, apparently it’s takes 5 min to make water warm .

My husband booked and did not read the fine print and thought it was a Hotel because of the rate. We changed units and access was a bit of an issue because fingerprints could not be taken after 5pm on a Saturday.

South AfricaThe apartment needs a Decor upgrade!! The Bedroom, Lounge and entrance area, filled with dated furniture and miscellaneous items, haphazard & overcrowded. Not pleasing to the eye. This is my first time staying here , it was disappointing . Every time I needed to come and go from the apartment, security had to be contacted to come up and use their card to allow me to exit or enter any floor or part of the building - no biometric card wad given to us to move around freely. This was extremely inconvenient!!
The location was ideal with beautiful ocean views. The apartment situated on the 12th floor, boasted a balcony with a side ocean view and which overlooked the pool and garden. The person/agent I dealt with for this 12th floor apartment, was helpful with directions and info.
