The owner made a dinner reservation for us, which was very kind, and the breakfast was very cozy. The owner also made extra effort to make a comfy bed for our toddler.

We were initially irritated because we had booked dinner there, but was informed by text on the day that dinner would not be available after all and that they had booked us into a local restaurant called the Glass House. As it had been a wet day, and once we have arrived at a hotel we don't usually feel like going out again if eating in is an option, we were rather cross. However the restaurant proved to be a short walk away and we had a very good meal with an entertaining host. Limited parking. Not their fault, but we had stopped at Graskop in order to visit Blyde River Canyon en route North. In the morning we were in thick cloud, which apparently is quite usual for the area as it is pretty high. We drove (slowly) along the edge of the canyon peering into the fog, but barely saw it. Probably by afternoon the cloud would have lifted, but by then it was too late. I only mention this in case other people are planning a visit.

A rather quirky bed and breakfast, with a comfortable room and good shower. Breakfast (not included) was adequate but nothing special. The Glass House restaurant - see below.

Such a beautiful little spot. Immaculate! Comfortable and warm with really lovely attention to detail. This was a last minute booking and we couldn't be happier. We felt really safe too. A real gem with incredible beauty on the doorstep!

The staircase leading to the rooms on the top floor is narrow and winding and can potentially be challenging when navigating with luggage.

The host was very welcoming. The hotel was cozy and intimate and only accommodated a handful of guests. The location is great; it is within walking distance of the main road and has a few restaurant options. The host confirmed that the location was safe enough for us to go walking, even at night.

Wonderful ambiance with honesty bar in the living area; True Pilgrims rest style with attention to details; Owners offer dinner or restaurant recommendation, we chose the recommended restaurant. It was raining the evening we arrived and the owners delivered umbrellas to the restaurant which was truly very thoughtful. Highly recommend staying at this guest house

Adele and Sorada took really good care of us. As they were fully booked on our second night (we could only book one night), they booked themselves another guesthouse for us. They also booked a table for us at The glass house (at a short walking distance). Thanks to them, we had a very good dinner (restaurant also fully booked that evening). We could park our car inside the property. Very nice breakfast. Lots of super nice decoration. Adele even showed us some secrets of the house! 😉 Cool stop between the Blyde River Canyon and the Kruger. Thanks again for everything!!!

We loved the details about the hotel. It feels like a walk through history, since everything is so old. The owner bought it a year ago, so she is still figuring out who the people in the photoframes on the wall are. The bedrooms are very cosy, and also in a very old style. The heated bedding is amazing, especially when it's cold outside. The staff is very very nice, they will help you with everything, book an amazing restaurant (Glass House) for you and make sure you eat breakfast in the morning. Nothing but praise!

We had a lovely stay here. This place really takes you back in time. The Graskop location is very good for starting all kinds of trips and see the beautiful nature of this part of South Africa. Adele and Sorada are great hosts and really made us feel at home.
