Dirt roads could do with some fixing

Jordan at the front desk was incredible. Such a passionate individual with a vast knowledge of the property and area. He really went the full nine yards to make sure our stay was unforgettable! Africamps Magoebaskloof is easily accessible along a good dirt road and you truly are in paradise when you get there. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make us feel completely at home.

Things to note: the shop at reception closes at 5pm. The facility doesn’t have outdoor pots, only indoor pots so bring your own so you desire to cook on the braai stand. The restaurant starts operating from Thursday so bring your own food and supplies. The shop sells fire wood, charcoals and fire lighters so no need to worry about that.

It is unfortunate that we only stayed for one night, the location is so beautiful and we never got the opportunity to wander through more of it. Staff and reception is so welcoming and so professional. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. I'm already looking forward to revisiting.

The main road to Maghoebaskloof can be very wet and misty.

Great location in a forest, fresh mountain air and far away from any hustle and bustle. The tents have everything you need and very helpful staff.

Lack of wi-fi in the tent really sucked.

The location was really great, we enjoyed being surrounded by nature. Jomo, the guy who helped us with the hot bath was very kind.

Very few things we would recommend to improve, safety, as there is no check in point to get in or out of the farm, a security check point would be great to enhance the safety concerns we had. The road to reception on rainy days can get very muddy making it a little difficult to drive through. The lack of cell reception is not entirely a bad thing until there is an emergency, so Wi-Fi in the tents is something to consider and lastly the no music rules seems to be a suggestion as there were guests who played music and we could hear it from the other tents, which was not pleasant, please review how you apply the no music policy.

My family and I loved the location of the place, perfect place to get away from the noise of the city, and spend time with family or partner. The Tent was very spacious, comfortable beds, the deck outside the tent overlooking the dam was excellent, the hot tub is perfect for a chilly evening and the we enjoyed the braai facilities as well, overall in terms of accommodation we were happy. The staff as well as very friendly and kept checking if we are comfortable, especially Jomo, he was very helpful and made it a very comfortable stay.

The cleaning fee needs to be included in the main fee. By separating it changes the ranking on Bookings.com and makes us feel we being overcharged. 2 bags of wood and firelighters should be included.

It wasn't their fault but there was a burst water pipe on the day of our arrival so we had to wait for them to repair that before taking a shower and couldn't use the hot tub on our first day which sucked since we were only staying for 2 nights. They worked hard to repair the pies and did so on the same day.

We loved the location, amazing views, the great facilities and the hot tub. . The kids absolutely enjoyed ziplining.
