There was nothing to dislike.

It was a lovely stay. We had a great time at the guest house, and I will definitely stay there again when I'm in St. Lucia. Easy to get around from there. The staff was very friendly, and the hosts did their outmost to keep everybody happy.

This stayed (beyond) exceeded our expectations! The lovely hosts made us feel at home instantly and provided various tips on what to do in the area. From making the best breakfasts ever to providing snorkelling gear. We hope to be able to come back at some point, thanks Hennie & Ilze!

Simply the best experience. Nice room with enough space for comfortable stay. Calm and peaceful location - everything in town is walking distance. Safe environment. Friendly ginger cat :) lovely breakfast in serene environment outside. But above all, Amazing hosts - Hennie & Ilze.

Hennie and Ilze are the greatest hosts ever! They made us feel like home within the first minute. Great explanation of the area and they helped us book a boat took to see hippo’s and crocs. Breakfast is also cozy where there is a small yoghurt and toast buffet and they prepare a hot breakfast fresh to order. All and all an amazing stay in St Lucia. We’ll be coming back for sure!

The accommodation was one of the nicest on our trip to Africa. The room was very large and comfortable. The bathroom had a large shower. Everything was very clean. The outside area was very well maintained and there was a great pool. The breakfast was very rich and was served fresh in the morning. The host was very friendly and sat down with us first to give us good tips. This accommodation exceeded our expectations and we would book there again in a heartbeat.

Our long treacherous drive through the storm was soon forgotten when Hennie came out to greet us with a big umbrella and equally large warm smile. Staying at African Ambiance felt like visiting old friends, complete with a couple of friendly and chatty cats. Lovely breakfast, comfortable rooms and excellent communal areas. Hennie is a great host who took good care of us during our stay, was very informative on local attractions and happily make bookings for us. All in all, one of the highlights of our 3week trip, definitely recommended, we will be making a return trip.

Nothing could be improved.

I cannot rate African Ambience highly enough - Hennie and Ilze were superb hosts and could not have been more helpful. The lodge and gardens are gorgeous, the rooms are beautiful and the food was amazing. The location in relation to the town is also fantastic - we had such a good time here and we will 100% be coming back!

Very nice b&b, nice breakfast (every day a little bit different which is a plus!), Nice little lush garden. The owners make you feel at home. There is eye for detail. There's a nice net around the bed for mosquito's which is a plus!

Really nothing. We couldn’t wish for more.

The location was great. The design and interior of the accomodation is beautiful. It feels like a small luxury resort. With having all the benefits of it being a smaller place. The hosts were very very hospitable. They took their time to explain all the activities around St. Lucia including tips like restaurants. They even offered a cool box so we could take lunch during day activities. They arranged the bookings for activities we wanted to do and arranges laundry for our clothes. Breakfast was amazing. With a hot choice, eggs however you wished, with tomato, bacon, onions etc. They came to ask how you’d like it. Then there were various cold breakfast options like fruit, yoghurt, cake and more. We stayed four nights but could’ve stayed longer. Thanks!

When we arrived here we almost forgot that we were in St. Lucia. This place is a small resort of it's own. The building and the garden with pool made us feel like we were in somekind of tropical place in the Caribean or the far East for that matter. But no need to go there. African Ambience and St. Lucia are places well worth a visit. Hennie and Ilze are perfect hosts and made us feel at home. Hennie gave us good advice regarding all the things we could do in and around St. Lucia. We had a lovely room that was very clean as well. Everything was well organized and breakfast was great. We had a perfect stay!

Hennie and Ilze are great hosts. They gave excellent recommendations on getting around as well as places to eat in St Lucia. The area is wonderful, with opportunities to see hippos in the river and lots of other animals in the Isimangaliso national park 500m out of town. The beach at Cape Vidal at the northern end of the park is amazing, with great snorkelling if it's not too windy. Occasionally, the hippos come into town to graze at night, but we weren't lucky enough to see any on this visit. We'd also recommend a day at Hluluwei National Park, about 1- hour's drive away, where we saw rhinos, elephants, zebras, etc.. African Ambiance is a great place to stay and St Lucia has so much to offer.

Henny and Ilze are incredible. Helped with booking a safari tour, hippo tour and an amazing take away breakfast. As we needed to leave pretty early. Room was nice (african style) and a lovely garden. Wifi good. Centre with restaurants is nearby.
