Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South AfricaKitchen utencils was insufficient, No forks, spoon for dishing up, and no glass bowls etc. No working ceiling fan or aircon. The weather was cooler so the open windows provided a good breeze . Other then that the unit is beautiful and I loved the decor. The plus was the tv with netfix etc.

South AfricaNot well maintained and not as spacious as it’s made out to be on their photos. Not clean with a lot of cockroaches creeping out at night. Shower drain was blocked and no assistance after reporting to owner. Had to unblock and found that the reason for the blockage was a clomp of hair that got stuck in the drain. No bath towels provided even after requesting them ( the owner said they will bring them but never did) . Generally unhygienic and stuffy. Couches and throw pillows all dirty and stinky. Preferred to stay out of the unit and only returned to sleep

South AfricaThe owner...all the stuff that is wrong he blames on booking.com. There is muld on the cussions that you must sleep on. There is a shortage of utensils. The cubburds through the flat has got all hi personal belongings in, you can not put you clothes in the caburds Bath is not working, the basin doesnt drain the water out. Wall paper keeps on coming down the wall. Bed and breakfast included in tarif, you must ask for the ticket, and last day not included but never communicated to customer. Beding is wrinkeled ...so you dont know if its clean or not. We asked in advance if we can move in at 9am to the apartment, where by he said subjected to availablility....he did not made any arangements with the cleaning people to accomedate the request. The owner is unprofesional so the the establishment is sold /advertised as if its good but its far from it. What a dissapiontment....remove this flat from booking.com. After we discused all these problems with the owner he tried to consolidate our griefs by offering us money....that also did not hapened.

Just the narrow parking and the lag of roof clearance of my transport. The running of water on taps and toilet,no wifi and the cubborts doors that want to fall off. Windows tight.
