Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaHot water supply and very hard bore water.
Such kind and thoughtful hosts...chicken soup was especially made for a member of our party who was unwell. Food was delicious and plentiful. It would have been a 10 all round but for the erratic hot water supply...a tad difficult to control. Hot water bottles were put into the beds for additional.comfort. Lovely surroundings and perfect for a visit to the Namaqua reserve for the splendid wildflowers. Special place.

Everything was just very good. From being met by the owner, through getting settled in into the tented accommodation, and the dinner. Everything was ended off with lamps being lit in the tent, heater being lit to heat up the tent and hot water bag put in the beds. Everything speaks of taste and high quality! Victor, Linda and their staff went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant and memorable.

United KingdomThe camp is located in the middle of the owners 8000ha farm. Unspoilt nature at its very best. Walking on the farm to see the wildflowers was wonderful. The tented rooms have basic facilities but were very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep under canvas. The springbok stew for dinner was really tasty. We enjoyed our stay very much - thanks to the hosts Victor and Linda!

South AfricaNestled in the heart of a breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful environment, Agama tented camp offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The accommodations themselves were top-notch. Impeccably clean and well-maintained. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and it was evident that the hosts take great pride in providing a comfortable and welcoming space for their guests. It's a true haven for those who appreciate the harmonious blend of comfort, nature, and peace.

South AfricaThe bathroom being built from wooden branches/slats with openings in between is cold during winter. For the price paid I would not have expected that.
The setting is beautiful and off the beaten track. The dinner was superb - especially the Gemsbok bobotie! Extra's like a warm water bottle in bed when you get back to your tent and the gas heater been lighted were welcomed! All the staff are very friendly and the owners make sure you are well looked after.

United KingdomI loved the place, there was nothing I would want to see changed.
The Tented Camp is wonderfully remote, just perfect. But the best thing was the nature of the surrounding veld and bush, completely unspoilt the best veld I saw between Cape Town and Springbok. The estate has livestock but the stocking is light, it seems more wildlife reserve than farm. And the flowers were wonderful too. I guess if I were to come here again I would spend several days at Agama, it has everything, fauna and flora, just magical. Add to that a wonderful lodge, delicious food and such hospitality. The tops.

United KingdomAlthough the long farm track is OK without a 4x4, you at least 6" clearance is advised and those unsure about such requirements might want to ask for a pick-up from the asphalt road.
The team at Agama Tented Camp were determined to make our stay enjoyable. As roads has been damaged by rain before arrival, we were escorted us up the 11 km of track to reach the venue. As wildlife biologists, we've camped with only a bucket, so imagine the joy of hot water from a trouble-free gas geyser. Good birding round about and the delight of flowers coming into bloom after the rain, plus excellent food and inexpensive drinks from attentive hosts. What more could one want?

A wonderful stay and experience in a very personally managed camp. Victor and Linda are great hosts. They helped us uncomplicated with our tyre-problem on our arrvial. Although it was cold during our stay we were pampered with gas heaters and electric blankets in our tents. To sit at the open fire in the main area close to the bar and chatting with other guests was very relaxing. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The nature drive with Victor was wonderful, we saw a lot of Oryx, Springboks and ostrichs. The flower season was just starting. Highly recommended.

South AfricaThere is nothing that we didn't like!
We felt completely at home. The hosts, Victor, Linda and Cosmos were extremely friendly and hospitable. Their attention to detail was perfect. The 5 star luxury accommodation was tastefully furnished in a very creative manner. The food was outstanding and catered for all meal types. The camp is situated in a kloof with beautiful views and is accessed by a very good dirt road. It was cold and dark at night so we were given hot water bottles and LED lamps to return to our tent. A gas heater and oil lamps were lit for our return to bed. We will definitely return.

Extraordinary place with fantastic hosts that leaves you with the simultaneous desire to do both everything, and nothing. Wonderful to experience the sundowners travelling by 4WD to the higher realms of this sensational property, and then to enjoy an amazing home cooked dinner accompanied by the finest wines. Sleeping in the Tented boma was an experience in itself. So good I extended my stay.
