The curtains were a bit see-through, and most of the room's walls were windows, so little privacy. The towels could be a bit nicer, very small and rough. Also, the credit card machine was older and didn't accept pay wave, so I had to change payment plans last minute, it was a bit inconvenient.

The room's decor was charming. Wi-fi was good. The staff were polite and helpful. It's very close to the airport, and gets lots of delivery options too.

It is close to the main road, so there is a little traffic noise, but this didn't bother me too much.

The room had everything I needed and the staff member who let me in and showed me around was fantastic. There was little extras like a blanket, WIFI, tea and coffee, Netflix. It was a pleasant stay

I had no hot water for my shower. It was too late for me to check with the host if there was an issue as I had already gotten into the shower. Fortunately it wasn’t cold that day in JHB.

Easy spot to overnight from JNB. Small room with clean bed, hot showers, fridge and kettle. Comfy lounge and big kitchen to share. Ten points to Bheki for his kind, great hospitality with a big smile.

A reading light close to Bed would have been nice but no space Pretty close to the motorway means NOISY ROOMS are very tight. Too many noisy cars parked in backyard

Unfortunately they had power issues at the time (no charging and no hot water) but Bheki the caretaker said he can turn on the generator whenever I wanted, which I appreciated.

The caretaker Bheki was great and readily available. I had a long 6 hour daytime layover at JNB and decided to stay at the lodge. I communicated this over email. They made sure my room was ready as I arrived. I enjoyed that it was less than 10 minutes from the airport and close to order food on Uber Eats. The room and ensuite toilet was comfortable and very clean, as were the common areas.

Great service. Friendly staff. Easy check-in process. The only downside was that the power had been cut ( through no fault of Ithonsi) which meant that hot water wasn't available for my one-night stay. However, they had been in contact with local municipality to have the issue resolved.

The property manager is duch a nice guy. We arrived late after we landed at the airport and there was no electricity in the property. He run a generator for us so we could have a shower etc before going to bed. And again in the morning before we left. Very appreciated it.

Not the fault of the hostel per say, but the neighborhood can be quite scary at night during power shortage. It's off the road, so I'd definitly recommend to carefully select your taxi / uber at the airport as the road to the hostel is completely desert

Close to the airport, even if I arrived late, someone waited for me to welcome me and show me around. Was there only for a layover, and it was exactly what i needed

The premises are clean and well kept. The gardens are very well tended to. Bheki, the caretaker, was very helpful and nice. He even helped me to order some pizza for dinner and also request for an Uber in the morning. 😀

Ants everywhere. Couldn’t get rid of them and they crowded around the tap, but they did not bother me much.

Good location. Clean. The manager, Behki was very responsive and helpful. It was a comfortable stay.
