How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The fact that the is no backup generator when the is no electricity
Staff is always available. Our room had a leak and the bed was wet so we asked to change the room and it was easy to get assistance.

The rooms were great as were the staff. However the pool and outside area were very poor. The pool was unusable, green and quite disgusting. The garden was barren and pretty much dead

Our room didn't have a wardrobe for us to hang our clothes. We had to hang them behind the door. And they didn't have an ironing board.
The place is nice and it is situated in a good location. The staff was very friendly, especially the chef. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed it.

The water gets cold very quickly, even when taking 3minute showers. We are a family of 4 and all need to wash I understand the water restrictions however it feels like the geyers are set to not have the warm water last long at all or maybe all the units are sharing geyser. We love going here, just wish they would have a look at that

No braai place apparently its Hallal accommodation and i didn't knw so had to go home with my meat cs we not allowed to use the kitchen no bar fridge the place is great but not for me

Carpet in the room, I have sinus and did not sleep well because of it. The breakfast was adequate. It's not a 5-star breakfast .
The bedroom is well decorated, the staff is very friendly. We stayed one night, so it was a good place for our long journey.

Rooms need little attention 1. Bar fridge 2. Aircon with heating 3. Some firm/new pillows!

The pool was not clean. Even though it's winter, the weather was warm, and it would have been nice to dip our fit in it.
Please was beautiful and clean my family and I enjoyed our stay there especially my 3 year old. Yhr staff were caring and offered my.to shower in another room when the hot water in our room ran out.

Roof in the dining room leaks when it rains, did not impact me, but could be fixed.

On the app, I booked the accommodation, and it said that I booked a Superior Double room. However,this Superior Double room looked more like a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids. As my husband and I were the only ones booked in, the staff in charge was friendly enough to give us a room suitable for a couple facing the garden, which was very beautiful. Unfortunately the pool was also dirty and we couldn't swim, but it was explained to us that it was due to the electrical trip that occurred just before we arrived.
I like the fact that we had private parking on the property. Compliments to the chef as well, the breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful to our every need. I would definitely visit again.

Constructive feedback is for the venue to pay attention to detail. There was no tissue in the room and the tea station did not have everything. No tea and milk. They also brought iron with no ironing board.

I did not see a play area for the kids but I also did not ask if thee was any.
We had a great time at the swimming pool and the weather permitted. The staff was very friendly especially Banda in the kitchen. We enjoyed it a lot!
