Little bit outdated but very nice guesthouse with large rooms and nice pool. John and his wife Liz makes you feel comfortable and give you all the information about Hermanus. Only a short walk to the centre and coastline.

Everything was just as described. John and Lesley and all the staff, were lovely. Always offering good information and advice. The accommodation was very comfortable and roomy. Breakfast was excellent, especially liked the overnight oats in the fridge to eat at leisure. The pool was an added bonus, as were the pool towels provided.

Amazing hospitality and facilities. Home away from home! Stunning rooms and my son and wife just Loved the Pool! We did a Braai on Saturday evening, and the staff went out of their way to provided us with everything we needed, including the use of the kitchen and utensils as well as supplied the wood!!! We will definitely be back! Thank you Aloe Guest House.....you Rock!

We stayed in the 2 room suite and it was large and very comfortable. The staff pay attention to the small details that make a big difference to comfort. There was muesli and yoghurt in the fridge so that guests could eat these at the leisure and not necessarily wait for breakfast time. The little patio outside our room was quiet and peaceful.

The only thing that we didn't like was the distance to the restaurants. It doesn't take actually much time by foot, but because of load shedding we didn't feel very safe walking to the center in the dark. I would recommend you to take an uber, if you want to feel safer at night.

We had a huge bedroom and bathroom, with everything that we needed. If we had had more time, we would have even had a bath in the tub (it was very clean!) The hosts were very nice and it was possible to check in later than planned. Thanks for everything!

Such a lovely and quiet guest house, we felt like we were the only guests, it was peaceful and tranquil. Big bath was a treat :) And breakfast was delicious!

Our experience was based on a 1 night stay booked 30 minutes before arrival due to having to remain in Hermanus following a very severe storm. Everything was ready for us despite the very short notice. Very welcoming hosts; large and comfortable room; good breakfast.

For the price we wouldn’t expect anything more than what we got. Great value for money.

Very chilled out, old fashioned, home from home guest house close to all the attractions of Hermanus. We felt very relaxed staying here and John was so helpful with local knowledge and recommending places to visit. Loved the mid afternoon fruit and yoghurt delivery! Loved spending time by the pool!

Private and Intimate Guest house with only a couple of rooms making you feel like you have the whole property to yourself! Loved the spacious room with sleeper couch for our toddler which was as comfortable as the huge main bed. 3 words that would sum up our stay: Comfort, Private, Hospitable. John was an amazing host, and you can see why he is the main driving success of the guesthouse. Walking distance to town with all the restaurants. Breakfast was good and staff were available early given we had an early checkout
