More Ventilation at the guest house at the kitchen Area when someone is cooking. This should be administered. Otherwise all was well. Nothing to complain.

I like the reception of the Staff especially in the morning when you come in for breakfast and when you go out to start the day, well done!

Our booking through booking.com indicated that our reservation included breakfast. on the morning we went through to the backpackers and were told that it was not included and had to pay extra for the breakfast. This was frustrating and a misleading statement either by the owner or booking.com - I specifically booked accommodation with breakfast included as we had an employee traveling with us.

A bit more info regarding the breakfast would be great, only the last day did I find out they actually serve a breakfast buffé if you arrive in time.. Because I eat late, I showed up 30 minutes before breakfast time was over (by this time they cleared away the buffé) and couldn´t figure out why the breakfast staff seemed not so happy ..

Great rooms, great location. Access to pool is nice. Comfy beds and clean rooms. Nice with an outdoor area and shared kitchen so you can cook your own food if you want.

Breakfast could include fruits and vegetables. Although the staff is nice some of them didn't know much and couldn't answer questions or be helpful.

i loved the location, its close to many interesting places. The house is ok and my room was fine, it was serviced, cleaned and had kettle and tea etc, the breakfast was good. the equipped kitchen is a plus though i haven;t used it.

We asked for someone to fix the tv in my uncle’s room, reception said they would send someone but no one ever came. Our families’ rooms were not as nice as ours, the furniture looked very old. And my pillow had a stain ☹️

The place is suitable for both couples and a family traveling together. All amenities are within walking distance.

I had a great time staying at the Ashanti Guesthouse. The room was really spacious, quiet, and clean. Plus, the neighborhood is totally safe and conveniently close to all the cool stuff.

The 5 min walk down the street to the guesthouse, especially at night. As a solo traveler I felt unsafe, but I did what I could to be careful. I did have other people from my tour staying at the guesthouse but wasn't able to always have someone accompany me.

The room was spacious with a comfortable bed. It had a safe. It was a very secure entrance to the guesthouse. The staff at the backpackers location were exceptional and friendly always willing to help.

If you change the shower head, you could get a better shower. That was pretty much my only dislike.

The location is excellent. Less than a mile from Long St. Breakfast and bar on-site is also a plus.

The location - so close to Kloof street where the restaurants were as well as close to my friends who were booked in a very upmarket boutique guesthouse. Also the guard accross the road who made arriving in the dark more safe.

I have to mention Francois de Kok by name for all the hard work he did to fix my hot water issue. His friendly demeanour and concern for my comfort were highly appreciated. The other staff were also helpful. The room was spacious (and had an intricate design on the ceiling), but I did not like how the bed was positioned. The room had a functioning fire-place, but I did not use it. Breakfast was good. The place was very clean.

Our particular bedroom in the guesthouse wasn’t the best compared to previous stays. it had a windows over looking a high wall and no wardrobe or decent storage place for clothes. shower low pressure

Location fabulous. Revisited this place for 23 years. Sad to discover the main hostel has been now sold by the owner and surprised she didn’t mention this as a point of interest when we checked in and spoke to her.

The direction that the reception is 'around the corner' was not that clear to a new visitor.

I enjoyed every bit of my stay at Ashanti GH, with friendly and responsive staff. The reception should appear more prominently on the search and to give guidance to the connected properties.
