This guesthouse is very lovely. My room was very cosy and comfortable. The staff kept it clean and neat, which I appreciated. Thanks to everyone for the cupcakes on my birthday. That was a very thoughtful gesture.

Some rooms were a bit smelly, one it smelled liked smoke, as if people where smoking there before. In general the rooms had some smell of an old house and some humidity but by leaving the windows open the situation improved. At some bathrooms the water in the shower wasn’t going down which wasn’t ideal. And the rooms weren’t very spacious but they were okay for 2 people. There was some difficulty at the communication before arriving but they were generally responsive. Overall it was a pleasant stay, we were lucky not to experience the loads heeding the time we were at the hotel.

The location was lovely and the rooms with sea view and balcony great, you could hear the sound of the sea from some rooms. The beds were comfortable. We didn’t spend much time in the hotel but when we were there it was nice and we could sleep well. We could walk around the area which was nice and it wasn’t far away neither from the beach nor from the centre. The staff at the hotel were friendly once being there.

    Beautiful manor with excellent views

    • Stayed 2 nights

The manor doesn't have a generator, so there was no electricity during loadshedding. But the staff made sure to keep us informed of the loadshedding schedule daily.

The manor is a beautiful location to stay, in a nice area of the city, with outdoors space to have breakfast under the trees or on the rooftop. The room where we were staying was spacious and luminous, with beautiful views of the sea and the mountain. There were free coffee and tea available, and a microwave for common use. We also had a welcome sherry!

A house with character and friendly staff, right next to everything.
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple

If you need total darkness and or silence to sleep, then this charming older manor will not accomodate this particular need. A sleeping mask and earplugs could help. We didn't need them. Make sure to bring anti mosquito repellants. Also make sure to have a backup plan for load shedding (no lights or wifi).

The location could only be described as perfect. Beach promenade, Cafés, Shops, Restaurants, and Mojo Market where all within short walking distance. Uber and Bolt transportation frequents the neighbourhood very regularly, guaranteeing quick pickups.

The shower pressure and temperature was low and could be improved. As there was load shedding (scheduled power outages) it would have been nice to have a portable battery in the room - I practically got dressed in the dark and resulted in using my phone torch. The guest house should invest in a UPS / inverter so that when the power goes off at least the WiFi will still work.

The location is great in Sea Point, central to many attractions. The style of the guest house is vintage and eclectic. The beds were very comfortable. Staff were warm and friendly.

The bed in room 15 is tired, comfortable on one side but not the other, the door to the bathroom did not shut, the main door to the room locking was a bit of a challenge.

Location was great, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The coffee in the morning and the chats with Liezel the receptionist was the highlight of the day.
