Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe loved the size of the hotel, 9 rooms in total with french doors opening onto our own spacious terrace. We were in the Royal Suite (Room 7) which had a sea view, direct access to both infinity heated swimming pools, view of Lions Head Kopjie & Table Mountains. The facilities in the room and around the hotel were incredible. The quality and presention of the food was outstanding, the staff were friendly, helpful and went beyond. I could spend the whole day writing this rewiew with all good things but don't have the time. All I can say is that I will definitley pick this accoommodate again and the Atlanticview Cape Town Boutique Hotel certainly is a Five Star hotel.

AustraliaWe would definitely recommend. From the moment we stepped into the hotel we felt welcome and at home. The complimentary welcome drink and evening canapés and wine are a lovely bonus. Very friendly and attentive staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. They were very interested in making sure our stay was comfortable. They were happy to give recommendations on activities and sightseeing options. The suite was beautifully presented and extremely spacious. Breakfast delivered to the room to eat at our leisure was absolutely delicious. Views are spectacular.

BelgiumSeveral moments where the reception was unattended (although possible to ring the reception desk bell and someone would always appear relatively quickly) which should not happen in a hotel of that standard (5*) and pricing. No receptionist (security only) at late night hours. BTW, we would expect the reception to be attended 24/7 in a 5* hotel. The personnel seems not to communicate well between shifts which resulted in a morning wake up 1h ahead of what we requested for breakfast. A bit awkward communication from the owners who, when asked if they could accommodate a masseur that we knew from the past and another venue, wrote the whole litany on how this other place was overrated and terrible, while a simple “no” for insurance reasons (if really the case) would have been enough.
The location, including exceptional view as one could expect in Camps Bay.

This is a truly stunning boutique hotel. The attention to detail was second to none and the room was one of the best we have ever stayed in.

United KingdomMy only piece of feedback is to get a running machine for the gym, other than that-a perfect stay.
Brilliant location, offering easy and quick access into Camps Bay and also Table Mountain National Park. We were able to walk out of the hotel and be walking up into the mountain pathways within 15 mins! While also being less than a 5 min Uber ride to the beach. However, the best thing about the Atlanticview Hotel is the staff. There are too many qualities to list, but their attention and focus was really special. A wonderful stay.

United KingdomAlthough we loved the location it was far enough away from the seafront that it was necessary to use taxis to go everywhere. I would have expected a hotel of this standard to have Nespresso machines in the bedrooms rather than instant coffee.
Everything on the property is stylish and attractive. The artwork is gorgeous. The rooms have wide views of mountains and sea and are all very private. Having reserved sunbeds was a real treat.

United KingdomIn the afternoon, there wasn't much shade offered from the sun despite the umbrellas. Although this is not a problem for sun worshippers who could sunbathe unhindered all day long 😎🌞
Wonderful location with amazing views of Camps Bay and surrounding mountains ⛰️ Also, very peaceful away from main roads and noise of Camps Bay Town. The happy hour with complimentary wine from 7 - 9 pm helped to make the evenings very social amongst other guests. The rooms were lovely, the food was delicious, and the staff were brilliant! We really loved our stay!
