The best Lodge I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms, the set-up of the shower was something that was just far beyond pleasant, and high-quality service. Also, My Gorsh the friendliness of the stuff ...I swear they treat you like you the only guest that they have ever hosted. This is the one place that I would like to visit each and every year...every month if I could...Lol If only. But seriously this is by far one of theeeeeeee best place.

Nothing - everything was fantastic.

Everything was top tier! The service from the staff was excellent (especially Glen!!). The rooms were beautiful and had everything we needed. The food was great. A great place to relax and recharge, and from which to explore the surrounding areas.

The room had a fridge filled with a variety of snacks and drinks, which could be mistaken to be complimentary. The hotel needs to make visitors aware during check-in of the costs involved for consuming the goodies placed in the room. The machine for boiling water for tea was also difficult to figure out how to switch on.

Great location surrounded by the lake and tall trees, and the rooms are very modern. The restaurant food was also perfect.

We ate several of our meals there including our breakfast and dinners. The meals were above average and the service was very good. We were very happy with our room. It afforded us privacy and made us feel that we were, indeed, on vacation.

The place was heavenly, very neat and quiet. My girlfriend and I can't stop talking about how beautiful it was. If you want peace of mind, this is the place for you. The lake view was astounding

The rooms were picturesque, exactly or rather even better than the pictures, beautifully furnished and spacious. I loved sitting on the patio of the breakfast deck and the lakeside room. The breakfast menu was wonderful, and I really enjoyed the breakfast. Staff were all friendly and great, the lodge has its own amazing hiking trails, and it is in close proximity to several great attractions. As a remote worker, I was thrilled to have a great and comfy desk to work on during my stay. Thank you for a wonderful short stay. A special thanks to all of the staff as well including Clinton who shared great tips for attractions, Nelsie, Pienaar and Glen. This trip was part of a Travel Guru Life Expedition

There is not one thing I can think of so fab place

It’s an absolute gem of a property, blows you out the moment you enter the drive in. It’s a lake estate hand picked rooms all facing the gorgeous water front. From intricate furnishings to some artistic art, each room is designed to make you feel at home the South African way. From breakfast to meals chef Martin is a rockstar. Do try out his special super spicy chilly sauce (sambol).

The food could of been better. It didn’t really match up with the standards set by this beautiful hotel and setting.

Location amazing. Beautiful room and surroundings. So peaceful and good for the soul! All the staff were lovely and helped with tips during our stay.

We stayed for just 1 night as astop over. The place is really beautiful and peaceful. Unfortunatelly didnt spot any hippos in the lake. When we arrived, the restaurant was actually closed but they arranged we could still have lunch, which was really appreciated.

wine selection, you can never go wrong with having chocolate block in your cellar. Although we enjoyed a 2020 Zonnebloem pinotage.
