Beautiful accommodation, spacious. The host put so much thought into every little detail. Loved the flowers picked from their garden for each chalet. Lovely welcoming brownies. Everything you need and more. Beautiful garden!

We love staying at Baris Guesthouse. This is the second time we have stayed there, and we are looking forward to the third time. It is a great escape from the big city because of the peaceful life on the farm.

The owner greeted us warmly. She fulfilled our request for a bowl of berries and non-alcoholic champagne and added extra brownies! The farm is a lovely weekend break and there is much to see and do in the town nearby, Clarens.

No complaints - everything great!

Great greetings to the farm, lovely big room, well stocked, great bed and comfortable sheets, love the brownies, and the 3-7 day old baby goats were amazing - what an experience! Also just off the road and easy access.

There is nothing we didn't like.

It was our second stay and hopefully not our last. What a wonderful place with everything you could possibly need. It is set on a very pretty farm and easy to reach Clarens or Bethlehem. Minda is amazing and does everything she can to make you feel at home. We were welcomed with delicious brownies waiting for us in our room and the fire all set up for us to light. They also have Braai meals you can pre-order to cook in your own private Braai complete with a beautifully made Salad and farm bread. Definitely a stop you need to make. Thank you.

We absolutely loved our evening at Baris Guesthouse! It's immaculately clean and the linen, bedding and towels were of a very high quality, which to us is an important indicator of a property. The cottage is so beautifully decorated and the koeksisters with a welcome note was such a lovely touch! Thank you for being so patient when we arrived later than planned. Breakfast on the stoep at the restaurant on site was delicious and the gorgeous view of the surroundings is a perfect example of slow farm living. The drive into Clarens is not far at all. This is our second visit and we'll definitely be back!!

Very well furnished and comfortable accommodation about 10km outside of town. Would have preferred staying another day to explore the surrounding countryside and hikes. Owners was super.

Everything was perfect. Everything you need. Hot shower that worked properly. Comfy warm bed. Fireplace with wood and kindling. Coffee and brownies plus rusks for the morning and fresh milk. Nice Braai and charcoal provided. Pleasant outside seating. Quiet location where the stars were bright.

The accommodation was fantastic! The property is beautiful with lovely cottages and individual braai areas. We received such a warm welcome with delicious freshly made brownies. We were sorry that our stay was so short. We did not manage to try the breakfast, goats cheese ice-cream, cheeses and cheesecake. Next time!

Exactly like the photos show! Beautiful stone cottages on a lush, tranquil farm. The rooms were perfectly clean with good bedding, crisp sheets & fluffy pillows. Lots of attention to detail - Minda makes you very welcome. Flowers in the lounge, fresh brownies & even a little milk in case you forgot to bring. The braai packs that you can order are worth every cent with a fresh sourdough added & delicious salad thrown in. Baris Monger deli on the farm served us delicious breakfast & sandwiches. We can’t wait to visit again.

A tranquil place with beautiful antique furniture, you are spoiled with homemade cheese, dark chocolate brownies & cheesecake - we took an afternoon stroll in the beautiful cared-for gardens with the aromas of herbs in the air - What is Not to Love!!!!
