During rain our room was dripping of water so we had to shift our bed, electricity was out but happy they had a lil backup so we can wash. Atleast try to put some tvs on the rooms😏

It's not the hosts fault but the streets around the accommodation are very difficult to drive and we had to turn around at a couple of turns because it would only have been possible to drive with a 4x4 (To be fair we arrived with lots of rain and the overall situation with construction was just unfortunate) The accomodation is not suitable for cooking/self catering.

Before we arrived the hosts send us some advice on how to get there and what to pay attention to by sending detailed routes and detours. Even after leaving they were reachable and helped us get around the streets and villages. The view from their terrace is just spectacular and the whole property was very nice. We got offered breakfast which we didn't take but it looked and smelled delicious.

The view and the seafood dinner was fantastic. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a lovely, hot shower. We loved our stay and booked an extra night.

The torrential rain caused problems for us all, including challenges with flooding in the building. And of course the power was down. But the lodge did put the generator on in spells and keep us up to date on happenings.

I was there during an unprecedented flood, which washed all of the access roads and bridges away. The couple who run the lodge were so supportive, accommodating and helpful in allowing us to stay on when we were trapped in Coffee Bay, and in meeting our various needs during the two extra days we stayed. I want to commend them for keeping going despite no power or access to fuel, food and other things. They were able to keep us provisioned with five star meals and service, all while managing their own issues caused by the flood. It made for a very memorable stay! The lodge is also in a great location with wonderful views. We were able to sit on the balcony and observe the clean-up operation happening, as well as the attempts to fix the only access road so we could eventually go home. If you are going to be trapped, this is not the worse circumstance in which to do so!

This is a tough one... All we could think about was perhaps the need for a blackout curtain at the one window where the morning sun streams in, but that's more a 'nice-to-have' than an essential item.

What a little gem this place turned out to be! Michelle is the most hospitable hostess and her love and care for the place is obvious. She made a concerted effort to welcome us and even contacted us before our arrival to ask if we'd need supper and to warn us of the treacherous driving conditions. Breakfast (both the health and the regular one) was good and the coffee was delicious, too. We had the lobster and calamari special the first night which was scrumptious and good value for money. The second night, we asked if we could just have a toasted sandwich and Michelle happily obliged. The room was cold (Winter temperature, of course), but we had electric blankets to warm our bed which were a Godsend. The views from our room and the deck outside the dining room were truly special! We watched whales and porpoises splashing across the cove whilst enjoying our morning coffee.

There was only one ironing board and iron for all the rooms, in the morning I went with wrinkled clothes because the iron was in one of the guest rooms and they were still sleeping 😕

I absolutely loved everything about the place, I could not fault anything.

The breakfast was delicious. The staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly. I could not believe that we had such a gem in one of our EC villages😊.

The roads leading up to the lodge are not the best with a lot of roadworks, potholes and livestock. The room itself was quite dirty. The curtain rails were broken and the shower was filty. There is no ceiling in the bathroom and as a consequence the holes in the roof allow for the smell from the kitchen (which is next door) to enter the room making the room smell bad at all times.

Michelle the host was extremely pleasent and friendly. The dinner was great and the view was good.
