I notified the host of my arrival time,when I got there my room was not ready and the host was not around,I was made to wait for some time while someone was tryung to get hold of the host ,I was later told my room had been upgraded,my partener joined later but I was unable to open for him coz I wasnt given the remote nor the keys to my room this also meant I couldnt leave ,I stayed there until the host came about 3 hours later. In the mprning when preparing to go to work I realised there was no iron ,I requested and I was made to wait until the hiost came with the iron ,I ended up getting late fior work. It is advesrised as a BnB but no breakfast is served. I find this very unproffessuonal and I was so dissapointed to say the least. I did enjoy the sea view though! I recoomend that when the host is expecting guests he must at least have someone responsible when he is not around.

The hospitality were poor and if you're in need of staff there's no one at the facility. It even took a while for someone to open the gate on our approach. Bookings.com indicated that you wil be served with shampoo and conditioner and we received nothing. They dont even have a key for the safe deposit box which I wanted to use to protect my valuable belongings.

Aircon did not work and was repaired only on the last day of our stay, beds extremely uncomfortable, terrace door was broken and could not open, other residents left the main gate open multiple times, so safety concerns. No cover parking and regular repairs being done to the property which where disturbing and alarm system triggers which we had to accommodate the security company officer to check whether the property is safe. TVs did not work properly and the room tv did not function at all and wifi connection very poor.

Margate was close to enjoy daily beach visits and shopping requirements

While we had agreed that I would fly into Durban at 20h00 and arrive at the premises at about 22h30 - No one was at there to receive me. The bell at the gate did not work. There was no telephone number on the wall, and the one at Telkom is no longer functional. I had to call the security company whose number was on the wall, to call their client. While I had paid for a room with a sea view as advertised, I had to argue about this with the owner. If I had an option I would have gone elsewhere, but it was about 23h00 already when the owner came.

The location, within earshot of the ocean, was fine.

the place was dirty, from the patio to the pool. the owner was condescending and rude, he didn’t want to comment on our complaints. the intercom at the gate was not working and the phone numbers provided were not working, we had to call security response to get access to the property.

I could get out early because there was no one to open the main gate for me. When I called the house maiden, she was rude to me. I missed my 08:00 meeting due to gate issues and keys.

The view is fine for the nicely renovated accommodation. The place needs serious attention.

The layout of the property is confusing it’s like renting a room in a house … rooms interlead and we didn’t have a key to lock our door.. fortunately we were the only guests do it wasn’t that much of a problem.. they say tea and coffee and a hairdryer are a supplied .. we certainly didn’t find anything
