How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Just a suggestion, there was no where in the bathroom to put our toothbrushs etc. Maybe a small cabinet on the wall for bathroom storage. Otherwise the room was absolutely perfect!😍😍😍
The room was practical and cozy, it was just what we needed for our stay. It was a beautiful and neat little place that catered for our every day needs. It is neat and beautifully decorated. We loved it!😍 And a bonus is that it was reasonably priced for our 10 day stay so it didn't cost us an arm and a leg.

Had a little bit of problem understanding the lockbox upon arrival and check out. But we learned.
The place is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Our space was what was advertised, even the neighbors that we shared the yard with were friendly. And the owner too, we had a little problem with the power and Michelle's hubby didn't waste time to attend to the problem. No doubts my husband and I will come again ❤️

The toilet had a bit of a leak but Tannie Marietjie sorted it out quickly. The mattress needs changing as it was a bit worn out in the middle.
The room was spotless, the towels are amazing and so soft and fluffy. Tannie Marietjie is an absolute gem and made sure the room was spotless and towels were changed.

Could not have a braai, braai area needs some maintenance and make it comfortable for guests.

The Blue Unit wasn't ready when we arrived but the owner was very nice and let us stay in the Aqua Unit which was also a stunning unit. Will definitely stay there again or even book the Golden Unit as the Golden Unit has a little bit more privacy and a private garden.

The bed, the base of the bed was broken so we had to remove the mattress of the bed and sleep on the floor for the comfort.

I spotted a dog in the premises not sure if it was visiting or from the venue. I choose the venue mainly because it doesnt accomodate pets.
I love the location it was peacful and easily accessible to a shopping centre

All was perfect for what I had booked for. Fished a competition where most meals were supplied at the clubhouse. Coming back to the accomedation to a comfy bed was awesome. Enjoyed our stay and would refer friends in the future

When we arrive the combo we booked was not cleaned, but management arranged for beter accommodation on premises.

The room was lovely, a home away from home.... i love that they had plates, glasses, pots etc whereas many self catering places i went to didnt have any...i loved looooooooooved Adele😍. And thee beach is only 2kms away, just great!! We would most definately come back.😊

There was a weird smell coming through from the the back of the refrigerator on our last day. But that was honestly the only mishap. Other than that, all was perfect.
Our host, Adele and her little ones, were very warm and friendly. The entire ambiance of the room was amazing. The bed was comfortable, the water was always hot and I honestly enjoyed the tea station. My stay was a ten out of ten.
