Excellent location and views. Comfortable cozy well refurbished cottage clean with all the necessary amenities available. Favourite was the fireplace that warmed us during the wintery nights.

There were a few things missing from the kitchen but that wasn't too much of a bother. It was a pity that we couldn't open both sliding doors in the cottage as the view was stunning. And unfortunately, there was noise every day, from the lawn mower to the weedeater to the leaf blower. But these were all easy to live with compared to the rest of our surroundings.

The dam was beautiful. There were many lovely places to visit nearby. The forest was magical and just outside our little flatlet. I was very excited to discover that Cat runs a Forest School from the farm. There's just such a wonderfully friendly and comfortable atmosphere at the farm. Very helpful staff and all friendly faces.

Too much potholes on the road to the cottage so it was difficult to drive

Berghaven is heaven on earth.Peaceful, spotless clean, warm welcoming, the hosts went all out to accommodated us for our 10th wedding anniversary.Kat,Estelle and the team as a whole went beyond our imagination making sure that everything was in order.Our day was filled with joy and laughter, hastle free.The stay was amazing, the service was excellent,the cottage is well equiped, everything was just beyond our expectactions.It was all fantastic!We were totally overjoyed by the warmth from everybody at Berghaven.

Wifi only at reception, the open cupboards which made the kitchen look cluttered, and there was no space for groceries. The towels were really dry and scratchy (couldn't use them on our bodies). The linen on the one bed in the smaller bedroom looked and smelt used, but my daughter quickly changed to the other bed because she was alone.

The location, privacy of each chalet and the nature aspects (small hiking forest, fire wood, dams, the peacefulness etc). Only interacted with the facility manager, who was extremely friendly and helpful in every way. She gave us a map of the whole area and facilities, which we are already using to plan our return there - very useful. Also gave useful tips for nature lovers, and we just loved every bit.

Chalet was a little cold but being winter probably expected. The fireplace was gorgeous though and once going warmed up the chalet.

Very friendly and accommodating owners and staff. Dams perfect and close for kids to fish alone, they loved the canoes!

Some parts of the property where dilapidated. I dont blame them because with Covid many places have closed down and with investments its hard.

The place was tranquil, i liked our room it had a nice view,i almost didn't wana leave . For the fact that it remains open during this pandemic says alot about their resilience. Yes a few things need to be fixed specially on the rooms at the back .but i saw they are working on it. One tip though lol, cut the grass on the yard cz some areas on the yard where not easy to access. Please please stay strong and keep opened.oli would like to come back for the 3rd time ,this time with friends to experience the lovely place you have

Swimming pool was green the entire time we were there, didn't seem as if any maintenance were on site during our stay. The rooms are not serviced daily and you will run out of toilet paper if you are there for more than 1 night, so be prepared. No cover for cars during thunderstorms and no covered veranda/patio to sit outside and braai during inclement weather. Beds were also uncomfortable and no wifi.

They do not have the iron placed in their cottages and they are charging for the laundry to be ironed, there's also no wifi in their cottages

Accommodation is a bit dated - old looking furniture and decor.

Great location and a perfect option for a one or two night stay. The cottages are quite private and there are beautiful gardens that surround the self catering cottages. It's a very peaceful place to stay.
