Everything was to my liking.

This is an amazing lodge in all respects. We had a lovely dinner and an excellent breakfast. The staff is very friendly and well-trained. I especially wish to commend Jerome Rouls for his attention to our needs and requirements. He is a superb host. I enjoyed the sound of horses on the farm and the beautiful Karoo surroundings. The pet friendliness is also appreciated. We shall go back there for a longer stay. Excellent.

Located on a Horse Stud farm it was everything that we were looking for. Quiet and peaceful.

We walked around the stables and the main building with so much history and beautiful art pieces. Dinner was very nice. We left early, but a delicious breakfast pack was prepared.

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed at and we had our two doggies with us. The staff were unbelievable and so was Catherine the best lady ever to run a magnificent place like this…..they made us feel incredible welcome and my dogs were really treated perfectly.

We were put in a room with a sloping ceiling and no shower. My husband is 6’3” and has a bad back so not able to get in and out of the bath.

Absolutely nothing!! A fantastic find that we will use again, and will highly recommend to anyone...especially if you love dogs...and horses!

This is the most amazingly beautiful hotel we have yet to stay in! The hidden jewel of Colesburg!! This was once a home of Gary Player and is now a hotel and racehorse stud farm. You are warmly welcomed by Eddie and Gorgeous the two hotel dogs and your own fur-baby is very welcome. This is amazing considering the extremely high standard of the furnishings, artwork and areas throughout. Jerome followed the dogs with his welcome and was a delightful and very attentive host during our stay. This is a dog friendly hotel for dog friendly people! The room (No 6) was beautifully decorated and had french doors out to the gardens. There is also a swimming pool and a putting green. The honesty bar, snacks and the great food served up by Busi, Madeleine and the other ladies was very well presented and appreciated. The overall staffs attention to detail was amazing, and you will feel very blessed that you make this stop! We did!

Our room was a bit close to the neighbours and patio seating area was close to each other loosing some privacy. Extra electrical plugs for those who wished to use a hairdryer in front of a mirror. WiFi was not great in our room, this can definitely be improved on as well as the speed thereof.

Room was really nice with everything you could require. Ample cupboard space and draws. Very nice bathroom ensuite. Beautiful and tranquil surrounds. Ample space to walk and enjoy the views and bird life. Dinner was delicious, with a 3 course meal, including a tasty salad, roast lamb and potato & veggies, also homemade gravy and mint sauce. All rounded off with a creme brute and cheese platter. Breakfast was again very tasty and fresh with many choices. Wonderful to see all the beautiful horses that are being trained and groomed on the grounds. Beautiful walks and bird life all around. We would definitely stay here again.

Big Sky Ranch is a destination. Golf, tennis, mountain biking, walking, running, swimming! Outdoor heaven. Next time we stay much longer!

Everything was perfect.

This is a little paradise. Once you arrive, you feel exceptionally comfortable. The service by the host and the staff was exceptional, and we've concluded to enjoy it there the next time for a week.
