The invertor comes on at night and is a bit noisy, but Henriette did point this out when we arrived, and closing the bedroom door resolved the problem. The cabins are wood, and one can hear guests in other units moving on the wooden floors, but it was not major concern.

The property was very clean. I was impressed with the number of wall hooks in the bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped, including a coffee plunger, new gas stove and oven, as well as back-up load shedding lights and inverter. The bathroom fittings are new and in great condition. They also provided a Weber, together with charcoal.

UPS/inverter fan comes on every 5 min and the sound is quite annoying.

The only thing that could be a slight problem for inexperienced drivers was the steep driveway, but to my mind, this addes to the charm of the place.

The view is absolutely spectacular. The cabin was made of logs and had everything you could need supplied and was situated in a garden with mature trees and shrubs, which provides absolute privacy from the other cabins on the property. The hosts were also fantastic as were the other staff. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of extra blankets should it turn cold.

A really great place to stay- the house was lovely inside with clean spacious rooms, bedrooms all with ensuite. The view out from the balcony over the lagoon and out to the Heads was wonderful, as were the gardens and bird life. We would highly recommend.

Everything was really good.

Stunning location set in magical gardens with views across the lagoon. Everything we needed down to small thoughtful details was provided. And the place was sparkling clean and serviced every day (BBQ cleaned out was a nice touch) and at no extra charge. The owners and staff were friendly and always responded promptly to any queries we had.

Nothing negative to add, just a note for future visitors: ensure that your vehicle is able to drive up a very steep driveway, especially after it rained, otherwise wait for the driveway to dry before leaving.

Our accommodation was equipped with an inverter to ensure that load shedding didn't affect our stay. The view from the porch over the lagoon was amazing. The accommodation is private and secluded from the rest of the town, ensuring peace and quiet during our stay.

Nothing can describe how breathtaking view of the lagoon is. The facility has back-up for loadshedding. Also, the host was very generous and always willing to help with anything.

A gorgeous spot in Knysna! The view from the balcony was breathtaking. We enjoyed star gazing during the load-shedding. Also, a perk is that the WiFi and TV still work during load-shedding. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious, and we felt very safe during our stay. The hosts were also kind enough to let us check out later than originally planned. Truly, a wonderful spot.

We stayed in the Sunbird chalet, which was completely private and had a stunning view. The chalet was well equipped, beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. We had an undercover braai area which was great as it rained 3 days straight.

It is a little drive to the center, nothing crazy but you can not do it by foot at least.

The view is stunning and all facilities are available to make it a nice time. We had a really nice bbq one evening and it was beautiful with the lagoon background and the sunset.

The Big Tree House was a beautiful and very comfortable place to stay! There was a lot of attention paid to detail and the small extras such as mozzie repellent, room spray, coffee station etc was very welcoming. We had a very warm welcome on arrival and the host checked in to see that we were comfortable during our stay.
