The staff at reception was arrogant

The towels were rather old.There was no bin in the room to discard waste and the windows looked like there hadn't been cleaned in forever. I stayed in G022

When I entered initially on the corridor it had this strange smell, but when I got into my room it was okay, I am not sure If like the black wall concept tho, They didn't have a telephone system, WhatsApp was the means of communication which I found strange although it worked well. I did experience a scenario which I like to think it is a security bridge, I travelled with my extra door security. I requested for an iron via the whatsapp channel which they provided after 20 mins I heard my security alarm on my door go off, this is my personal security, which means someone tried to gain entrance to my room, this was around 9 am or 9.30am in the morning. It was too early for the house keepers to resume their duties. No one knocked, when I went to the door to see who it was I met three guys, the one who gave me an iron and two had like a face mask on( Like the Covid type we use to wear) I asked them what they were looking for as I was already scared, he said he wanted to get the iron and I was like three people came to get an iron? what happen to knocking, using the whatsapp channel, TBH I was legit scared cus I was naked and had my stuff everywhere, I rushed down to complain and the staff on duty I think was taking side with his colleagues, saying they knocked , that they were just two people and I asked to see the CCTV footage he said it was only the building manager that had access to that, however no apologies no anything, I just felt unsafe after that incident till I left, I asked to speak to the manager and it was becoming a long thing and even when I messaged them on whatsapp they ignored my message, I was a but happy was leaving soon and just ensured my door was fortified with my extra security.

I loved the breakfast it was nice I won't lie, really enjoyed it, the facilities were okay and the place was clean, my room was overlooking a construction building so I wasn't really happy about that, but it had plants so I liked that as well. It had everything to make me feel at home and it was close to my office as well. it was also central and quite popular.Sheets were clean and towels too. The room was also big which was a plus

Just minor malfunctions i guess, issues with the curtains closing and safety box. The staff was friendly enough to assist timeously. However kitchen utensils were severely limited. Helped that the plan was always to eat out due to short stay. I would also use a lighter paint in the hallway, makes it creepy.

A trolly is definitely needed for those with a lot of luggage. I hope they will consider this as we did put it across.

The wifi is amazing. A good stay especially if one wants to work from the hotel.

The complimentary bottled water only on the 1st day of your stay and on other days you have to buy water found that a little bit inconvenient

The cockroaches that kept creeping up on me in the bathroom and kitchen. Cleaning staff should NOT leave windows open after cleaning.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The shared offices spaces and meeting rooms was a nice touch. Great plate of breakfast to start the day was welcomed too!

Unfortunately there is always something broken/missing upon arrival eg batteries in remote empty, safe broken, cuttlery missing, frozen fridge so door does not lock etc.

I come here about 30 nights a year. It the the nice staff and not the room quality that makes me come back. Read below.

I booked the suite which was the more expensive option but should have booked a studio instead. I did not like the fact that the bedroom did not have an airconditioner.

The location is great and security was good. I felt safe. The reception/front office staff were superb.

Functional, minimal rooms, with good size bed, nicely equipped for a long stayer, safe walking to/from Mandela Square and ample secure parking.

There were only two big towels and one small towel for two people. From my experience there should be at least two more small towels to use for the face. When I asked them they told me that's what you normally get. There were little bugs in the fridge when I arrived. So it was either not thorougly cleaned or there is a problem with these little bugs. I guess it was the second, since I saw some more of them later on. The kitchen is poorly equipped. As far as I remember there was only a pan, no pots or whatsoever. Only one or two forks, nothing else. As they already provide a kitchen, they should have at least some basic equipment. Otherwise the kitchen is pretty much useless. There were no cushions for the chilling area on the roof top, so we couldn't use that.

The location is great, the room is amazing, the staff was very nice. I had a problem with my safe box and they helped me out immediately. Room service was very thorough. Nice roof top.

Would have appreciated more cooking utensils and dish cleaning items (soap and sponges) as there were none.

Room was beautiful, neat and clean. I loved that rooms were serviced daily. The bed was incredibly comfortable and place itself was quiet and peaceful as well as very close to Sandton city.

-A bit over-priced as the rooms are very basic and dark -House keeping response often takes way too long and this was the same case at BlackBrick 2 where I stayed previously -my room was situated on a side of the hotel, where there were lots of people loitering in the adjacent plot, and this was very concerning, and felt quite insecure for me

-Location and proximity to 2 malls in Sandton -Quiet and very ideal for working -Cleaned daily -Large room -Not affected by load-shedding -Very polite, professional staff -Pedestrian gate hard to open from the outside. A guard always had to help me
