Perfect. Very well-equipped spacious chalet with good quality fittings; it had everything we needed, and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely go back. The dirt road to get there makes it a bit isolated, but we had a high-clearance vehicle, so no problem.

The location is really nice. A bit of a drive on dirt roads but worth it. It was quite different (but awesome) to stay in the cabin. We loved the boma fire on the deck every evening. We found everything we needed.

The road need to be worked on , it's dusty, rocky and really bad for low cars , really bad. I would recommend SUVs to get to the Cabins. It is best that you have everything you need before checking in because it is a hassle to go out to the shops and back.

The venue was very beautiful , very peaceful and came as advertised , even much more. The host was excellent , friendly and very accessible at anytime . It had everything we needed for weekend away from the city.

I recently booked a stay, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. I am compelled to share my feedback to inform potential guests and, hopefully, prompt improvements. My family and I faced unexpected challenges, including a hospitalization that led us to request a change in our reservation dates. Regrettably, the establishment did not exhibit flexibility or understanding during this stressful time. This lack of consideration added unnecessary strain to an already difficult situation. During our stay, we encountered a power outage, leaving us in the dark, especially disconcerting as we had a child with us. We were surprised by the absence of contingency plans and assistance during such an inconvenient situation. What disappointed us further was the establishment's reluctance to provide any form of compensation for the inconvenience and distress caused by these issues. As paying guests, we expected a certain level of service and support, which was unfortunately lacking. I believe honest reviews are essential for both guests and establishments. My hope is that this review serves as constructive feedback for improvement. I urge [Accommodation Provider's Name] to consider the impact of these experiences on guest satisfaction and take steps to rectify these issues. I would appreciate a response from the management to discuss these concerns further. while the view was nice, the accommodation was unsatisfactory. We will not be staying there again. It was advertised for two bathrooms, one was being renovated again after, as we were told, someone who had been drinking had fallen through the shower; (this was the 2nd time we had heard this story from these hosts as we stayed there in 2020) the available bath had broken tiles and missing grout on the floor being disguised with outdoor floor mats, there was mildew on the shower wall tiles and the shower door tracks were filthy. There was water damage in several places on the ceiling and although it was advertised with hardwood/parquet flooring, it was actually laminate which had bubbled and buckled. It was advertised as non-smoking - but there were burn marks on the armchair, and it, as well as the rest of the living room furniture, was grubby. Advertised a lge dbl bed 60 - 70 inches, but actually was std. dbl and very hard. Pillows were more like concrete. Load shedding had only one emergency light which did not illuminate the tripping hazard of the bathroom floor or the deck outside. A generator could run at a cost of R250/ hr. Toiletries were supposed to be provided according to the website, but when asked for them, I was ridiculed for not bringing our own. The picnic table on the deck provided the only deck seating, but the table itself slanted more than 70mm from left to right. They pointed out the new boma, but even that had only straight-back hard chairs. Premises were not set up to allow one to enjoy the river view at all. The deck itself had boards that were spongy, and not securely fastened to the joists. This is an extreme safety hazard. We were told on arrival that no services would be provided for our 3-night stay. The website states that we had the right to refuse services, not have them withdrawn by the hosts.

The road coming to the accommodation was really bumpy the first 8km was fair but once over the bridge and the right turn that was like an offroad experience for the next 4km, with my little sedan and at times scary as it was raining and muddy in sections. The load shedding played havoc with us, but what is worse that the water also gets cut with the load shedding, so you have no power but worse no water aswell. A little Solar system with batteries and gas stoves would have made a world of a difference during load shedding, owner did tell us they had a generator at 8:45 but with check out at 9am not much time to shower and freshen up after we already dressed up, the load shedding was from 7:00 to 9:30am with check out at 9am left us miserable for the rest of the day.

The Place was very beautiful in the middle of a reserve over looking the Blyde River.

The staff Guy the name you can see she is just pretending she didn’t like us the guests in a way we felt racism unnecessary rules as if we are school kids and there was no pool or jacuzzi as seen in the website only a dangerous natural river kids were bored sleeping all the time because there was no activities as advertised we regret visiting Blyde River Cabin i will never refer anyone there especially the attitude of the owner

1. Most of the activities (e.g. horse riding, fishing) listed on their page are actually outside their facilities...which is a long drive from the actual accommodation 2. According to their page, they have daily housekeeping services..but it wasn't the case. You're actually expected to clean after yourselves. Even on the day of departure you're still expected to load all your dirty dishes on to the dishwasher. And if the place is too messy the will be charged an extra amount of R500 for cleaning services. 3. The 6 sleeper unit only had mirrors in one bedroom, which was such an inconvenience as all the ladies had to take turns and share one mirror. 4. I also found what I believe to be a rat dropping on my bed But the owner wasn't apologetics about it and insist that its of a gecko but either way it's disgusting and uncomfortable to find droppings on your bed.
