The lodge is not easy to find, also not on the MAPS.ME app. The dirt roads in the village have large potholes and no name signs. The neighborhood is not very pleasant and the neighbor's noisy cows disturbed our night's sleep. The breakfast could be better. The breakfast room is not cozy.

The friendly owner is extremely helpful. He met us on the main road and showed us the way to the lodge. But it didn't stop there. We did not realize that there would be no dinner at all if we did not respond to the request immediately after booking whether we wanted to use a set menu. However, during a public holiday this was resolved immediately upon arrival and the owner took us up and down with his own car so that we did not have to drive ourselves in the dark. Awesome! There is a mini pool. Cars can be parked in the closed area. WiFi works. The bungalow is spacious with well-functioning air conditioning, fridge and double shower.

So so great! Bongan is just such a warm and friendly person and often speaks to you as guest and has a high interest in your well-being. He is also eating together with you. We could book in addition an African dinner, which was so great. Furthermore, the accommodation ist super modern and clean and has much space in the room. Can 10/10 recommend and definitely follows “European standards” so to say. It has even two showers and two bathroom sinks. The accommodation is part of a sweet and small little African village, which makes the stay super authentic. We always felt very safe. Also the pool is very nice!

Make sure you bring you earplugs since it can be very noisy sometimes ;)

Bongan is a really friendly host. He makes sure that everything is fine! It’s a very nice experience to stay so close to the local village and it is very close to Kruger Orpen gate!!! Dinner is a bit more expensive for SA prices, but it taste good and very practical because restaurants are at least 20 minutes away.

Bongan and his staff were great hosts. They made sure they met our needs and provided goodies for us to enjoy our stay. We enjoyed the game drive as well. Breakfast was good and had nice treats of local fruits.

Better to mark the accommodation from the street, because one is confused when entering an unexpected location. Worse driveway.

Nice hosts, they prepared dinner for us for 150 ZAR/person on request, but the dinner was a 3-course buffet. Beef stew with rice, vegetable salad with dressing, Greek salad, and fruit salad for dessert. I have to say the food was the best of the whole holiday I have spent in Africa. Big comfortable bed and pillows, shower for 2. Close to Kruger park.

Bring earplugs as dogs and roosters are making quite some noise during the night / early morning.

Very spacious and new cottages, clean and comfortable bed. Big bathroom with bathtub and rain shower, best shower I had in the country! Perfect to stay before or after Kruger Park (Orpen Gate is 20 min away). They also organize safari’s.

Next door is a farm with rooster and donkey. Both can be noisy at night. Bring earplugs if you're sensitive.

Mr. Bongan and his wife were such kind and caring hosts. We felt very comfortable at all times. Mr. Bongan directly offers safari tours, which are highly recommended because he knows the insider tips and valuable information about the animals.

The family is great. we had so much fun with them. the food was wonderful and we felt right at home. right in the middle of a small farming community, everyone there was so friendly. would love to spend time there.

The lodge is located in a residential area off the main road. The access roads in the neighborhood are not paved and could be hard to find at night. You have to trust Google Maps as it brings you to the right location.

The room is spacious with comfortable beds. Bongan is a great host who went the extra mile and gave us tips during our visit to South Africa. Very close to Orpen Gate.

We arrived when it was already getting dark and following the Google maps navigation we thought we were lost going over some sandy "roads" through some village. But you just have to trust your navigation, Google will direct you to the correct location. If you're allergic to roosters bring some earplugs ;)

Very welcoming and friendly family running this. Breakfast was good, we were asked beforehand what we would like. Room was comfortable and there is an area outside where one can sit in the evening. 1 European power outlet and 2 USB outlets for charging in the room. Both shower and bathtub in the bathroom. Very nice overall experience, would love to stay longer next time

Comfortable beds with very clean, spacious bathrooms. The drive to Kruger's Orpen gate in Bongan Safaris and a great breakfast in the bush. The kids loved the swimming pool and the (braai) barbecue.
