Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South AfricaBeing moved 4 times, waking up one morning only to find three strangers sleeping all over our room, and they were not even booked there, totally drunk, using chargers, dirtying the bathroom and then leave? No excuse, another incident,waking up only to find a call girl leaving the room next to us, where they also can't keep a bathroom clean, by smearing feasees all over the floor!!!!!!

South AfricaWe were double booked and was moved to Mojo hotel. We didn't mind, but would've liked a heads up. What we didn't like about the hotel is that there were guests that were extremely noisy throughout the night, which made it hard to sleep properly. The staff on duty should've done something about the disruption of those guests. There are also too few parking bays.
The room was clean and had all the necessary to make the overnight stay comfortable.

HungaryOther guest were just incredibly aggressive and loud. When I told them to be more quiet (turn of the music after midnight), they were like "we have paid for this place, we can do whatever we want"...Obviously if there had been any staff member there, they could have handled that. Bathroom and kitchen was not really clean. There was no soap and towel/paper towel in the bathroom.
The bed was extremely comfortable. Very good location, friendly staff.

South Africaif you are in an apartment and you end up with dirty people, it’s a hard couple of days, by the 3rd day I could brush my teeth without wanting to vomit, they then moved us up 1 floor. don’t stay in apartment no 4. it’s can be very noisy and be aware that if the door is closed and the people come in late without keys, banging happens till you get up and open for them.
if you end up at the top in a single room or a room in an apartment without people, it’s a good stay. the view of the mountain was great and the staff is amazing

Some people paying less and some paying more in one unit doesn't make sense. No privacy. Dorms in apartment 15 doesn't have enough electricity plugs near each bed and no side lamps
