A quaint and cozy cottage ideally situated close to all amenities and very well equipped. A wonderful logfire, smart tv, gas stove and solar lighting all contributed to a convenient stay. We happened to be there during the floods, and our hosts were amazing. They were continually checking to make sure we were fine and if we needed anything and updating us with road closure information, etc. They went above and beyond. Also gave us great advice re local restaurants and activities.

Comfortable, well appointed little cottage. There was lots of space and a nice braai outside. The host was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. The cottage is close to a park and a number of lovely restaurants.

Buchu is a charming historic house in a lovely location with a pretty garden with views to the mountains and the Church Steeple. The Veranda at the back was particularly good. There were welcome extras like tea, coffee, rusks and cooking ingredients. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Good books and info in the house. Felt like proper Stanford home. Can highly recommend.

I would have preferred off street parking

Great location and within walking distance of restaurants. The common is across the road and provides an open space for people to walk dogs and kids to play. The WiFi worked during all the power outages which was very helpful.

The location was excellent, in the center of the village ,opposite the village green. The house is comfortable, plenty of room, very well equipped well furnished, nice garden, we didn't use the pool. The house has lots of character.

We loved the pool and the garden mostly. But the house is very comfortable, well equipped with whatever you need, and the hosts are delightful and go the extra mile! Our dogs were welcomed and had a ball (or two) too :-)

Well-equipped and cozy house. There’s a big garden and a very nice veranda. The owner was very welcoming, friendly and made helpful suggestions on outings. We really enjoyed our stay there and we highly recommend it.

There was nothing we didn't like. At a push I'd say possibly the movement sensor light around the pool area at night. We would have preferred a light that stays on all the time, but I suspect we just didn't know how to adjust this!

Centrally located and a 2 min walk from pretty much everywhere, this delightful little cottage is a great space to wile away the hours, to relax and to enjoy a weekend away from the city. Although so close to shops and restaurants, it was dead quiet all around and we felt like we were miles from civilization. Small, but well-equipped kitchen, with lots of new utensils and appliances and well-stocked on the small things one uses to whip up a quick meal. I loved the pool and garden area and the big, beautiful shady trees all around this and the braai area. Out teens loved the Wifi, the netflix, and the board and card games, and my husband loved the spacious rooms and comfy bed. We even found an iron, which was a nice surprise. Stanford can get very hot in Feb, but the house had enough fans and ventilation so that we remained comfortable at all times.

We loved our stay in this divine, super clean little cottage in the heart of Stanford with easy access to lovely walks and the main road. The kitchen is really well equipped and the beds super comfortable, the pool defnitely a win. We loved sitting under the willow tree watching the sunbirds, so quiet and peaceful. Our host Collette was very attentive and easy to communicate with.
