Just an amazing retreat. Wonderful location, easy to self cater in well equipped wonderful communal rooms. Lilly who welcomed us was great and super helpful. Watching a Croc and Hippo drinking sundowners on the deck, then seeing a Giraffe on the track made life long memories.

Not suited for tall people. I bumped my head multiple times because a part of the room was too low. The cleaner should use the vacuum cleaner a little bit better

There is minor maintenance that can be done, especially outside to make the stay better for families with young kids.

I recently had an amazing stay at this lodge. Kevin, the host, was incredibly responsive and checked in regularly. The lodge itself was fantastic, with beautiful surroundings, clean accommodations, and great amenities. I highly recommend staying here for a memorable getaway.

Bushriver is exquisite, the view of the peaceful flowing river was therapeutic and brought tranquility. We enjoyed our short stay and definitely will come back to stay for few days. The manager & staff were friendly. Thank you for hosting us, it was an amazing experience in the middle of the bush.

Poor network signal but it is expected in areas like those

The best place I've been to so far. The facility, the Staff was exceptional. I had an unfortunate incident of my Car stucking in the Sand and the gentleman called Kevin kept checking on us until he realized that we were not at our room at the expected time. He kept calling and texting until he finally found us. He took us to our room, then help us move the Car together with six lady Rangers. I can't thank them enough, and my commitment is to go back to the venue soon.

Very comfortable and clean unit. Location on the Olifants River was great although we could not really see the river. Would be great if a slight clearing from the unit to the river is made so that you could enjoy a sunset while enjoying the river

This place was absolutely beautiful! The location was amazing, but also the house itself was really big and super clean. You can see monkeys all around the house! The only bad thing was us not staying longer than one night.

Some of the things in the room could be improved (e.g. the toilet seat was plastic, the bathroom had no blinds). We felt a bit uncomfortable with the keys being left in the doors after being serviced.

Magnificent views of the Olifants Rivier from the cottage though you shouldn't rent it if you are scared of baboons as the trees surrounding the cottage are the home of a troop of them. Patty is incredibly warm and welcoming. The wildlife surrounding the lodge is magnificent. Loved the big bath.

Swimmingpool wasn’t filled , but it was winter so not a big deal & the baboon tried to break in in the middle of the night, luckily they had good locks.

Loved the property, clean, nice with a bath. Honestly Leo the General Manager is the best host you can wish for. So nice & kind and he gave us tips & tricks and booking did something wrong & he made it all right! 🙏🏻

Unfortunately the pool was quite dirty which did not bother us too much cause we just went in with our feet.

First of all, Bushriver Lodge os special. It's located in a Nature Reserve and on your way you can see plenty of antelopes walking around. Leo and Patty who welcomed us a really nice. Leo even made it work that we got back our lost wallet from Kruger Park. Thank you for that again. The rooms are huge with a small porch which is really nice to sit at. The monkeys are very naughty but that's everywhere in the bush. We do think that the accommodation could be even better of there would be a little honesty bar, something like a braai evening or the possibility to eat there - we went for dinner to the nearest restaurant which is excellent but eating on that beautiful porch overlooking Olifant River just sounds too god.. With a bit of effort and work this place would be absolutely amazing. It has the charm, the good location and the nice staff, now its time to work on the small things :) Thanks Bushriver Lodge for the stay! We will come back!
