Camp Acacia is one of my all time favourites. The fact that you can walk or drive on your own within the game reserve is an added plus. The view from the lodge is amazing. A big shout out to Edwin for being the perfect host at the lodge, albeit self-catering.

Edwin was a nice host and very friendly at all time. The accomodation was something really special and we liked the nature around. We would highly recommend to stay at Camp Acacia.

The chairs on the balcony by the lounge are rusty. One broke when my 54 year old mother-in-law sat on it, causing her to crash to the floor. Bathroom shower curtains are hanging on with rusty hooks. Taps are rusty in the bathroom. This is a 3*, so meets expectations, but a little bit of touch up and freshen up will do wonders. The double beds are a bit small.

Absolutely incredible and beyond expectations!! You have a whole mini-camp for yourself. Three individual bungalows, two braai areas, two sitting/lounge areas and a full kitchen/dining area, private pool area - all yours, all private, just you & the bush. Wonderful experience that is highly recommended. Edwin is fantastic and available if you need anything at all. Signal and wifi is decent to keep connected.

It would have been above and beyond if there was a bath to relax in.

The view is spectacular. It is quite secluded and freedom to walk around in nature and take in the scenery

The directions given and the actual direction as well as logistics to enter the premises should be updated on Booking.com

Edwin who met us at the entrance was exceptionally friendly, helpful and professional, he made our stay even more memorable.

Camp Acacia blew us away. The value for money is unreal! We loved every second. Edwin was the most helpful and inviting host. Will definitely be back.

I have previously stayed here and will do so again. The lodge is well maintained and kept clean by Edwin and his wife who are an amazing couple. As a self-catering lodge, everything one needs is there, you just need to bring your own food and refreshments. Highly recommended.

The entire experience was great; from arrival to the actual stay. My guide, Edwin, was fantastic. The camp is situated within easy reach of the main road and Port Elizabeth.

    1. The braai grid was dirty and not washed from previous guests. Wood is sold, no problem. 2. But at least add the R50 for the fire wood to the accommodations or conservation fee and have the braai, indoor fireplaces x 2 packed and ready to light. 3. Also have firelighters handy in a jar.

The camp is set out amazing. Drive to camp is bumpy but once there you should stay minimum 2 days. Lots of space, very comfortable and recently renovated. Pictures advertised on Booking.Com doesn’t do it justice, the place is better. To the marketers: add more pictures of the shared lounges, swimming pool, braai areas and porches. A aerial picture of the setup could explain a lot. Use a drone for this. Ideal for couples with no children to rest and rejuvenate. Everything is there, however self catering. We brought a CADAC Skottelbraai which we recommend the establishment to invest and keep handy for guests use in the mornings for breakfast. The beds and rooms were of a high standard and were warm. We will book again, love it!
